Why isn't the media looking for the well dressed indian man that convinced the flight staff to allow someone on the plane to the United States without a passport? I find it kind of strange that the media was talking about these full body scanners the week prior to Christmas. Did we know that something like this was going to happen? I thought it was pretty standard to have extra screening for paying in cash for plane tickets. We live in scary times.

Why would Iran launch a preemptive attack on us? Because we're GOING to attack them? The whole basis of us attacking them first is ONLY based on if they had intention to attack us. If there's no intention to attack us, then there's no intention on our end for a preemptive strike, which means there would be no intention of THEIR end to launch a preemptive strike of their own.

The whole thing seems rather paradoxical.

If Iran looks at recent history it is clear the US may attack regardless of eminent threat. eg. We know now Saddam wasn't planning an attack.

Ah, but Bush announced before we went in. There hasn't been a single word on an invasion of Iran or talks of attacking Iran (unless you listened to McCain.) That fact alone gives Iran no reason for a preemptive strike.

In a scenario where we say we are going in, then it would be rather ironic for Iran to follow the "Bush doctrine" and attempt an attack on us first.

If you're asking me if preemptive strike is wrong, expect an opinionated answer (which is yes.) To me it doesn't make sense.
