You should split your drones at the beginning, and you should also do 14 gas 14 pool build, it's more efficient, and better timing.

at the end ur queen had some energy so u could of held off those lings at 7:42 if u transfused the week roaches

If you want to do an early push in zvz try..

14 gas

14 pool

15 overlord

15 queen

17 lings x 2

@100 gas ling speed

@50 gas baneling nest

from there pump lings and rally to his base. Morph the banes near his natural as soon as the nest finishes. Your banes should finish morphing right when you have ling speed. Use your lings to fight his lings/queens and send the banes to attack his drones. Pretty solid build against players who are too greedy.

that is becvause you gathered your roaches right underneeth his/her oderlords sight. he knew what you were planing.

1. roaches do not do bonus-damage on zerglings

2. zerglings +speed are faster.

i guess you could just mix in like 50% zerglings to your roaches. just an idea.

The reason your green instead of red or blue is because you have alliance colors on. To toggle alliance colors press the shaking hand button on the side of the minimap

Yeah I have to agree to some other comments. I't fairly understandable in zvz but you also play 1base in other matchups and that's just pretty all-in-ish. =/ If you fail with your 1base push you're most of the time pretty screwed. Why don't you play more "normal" Build Orders against toss/terra like versus Toss pool -> FE and vs terra hatch first. Merry Christmas nevertheless ;)

It's simple : 1 base zerg vs 2 base zerg. I'm a protoss player, but I play zerg a little( gold level I would say my zerg is). From my limited experience I must say that in 90% of the cases the zerg with 2 bases always wins against the 1 base zerg

You also expanded at the worst possible moment, bad luck it seems. If you retreated with the roaches on your ramp and delayed the expansion time you would be fine for another 3 or 4 minutes

Also, last thing: try to kill the overlord scout. GG anyway!

In order for him to have had that many lings, he absolutely had to be going all-in. In other words, he made like...16 or so drones...and then pretty much massed lings. It was unfortunate that you attacked...if you had stayed at home and just built up more roaches and defended your ramp ('cause he was going to attack you), then you would have probably won.

Get up a few spine crawlers they cost 1 larva each which is more effective than getting banelings, also if he doesnt go banelings and u know u are out numbered dont be afraid to pull ure drones off the line and engage this keeps ure queen and roaches alive for longer. That was a lot of lings he had he is really cutting drones because lings take up so much larva so i felt that if u waited and didnt push initially u coulve defended and then u would have the money to tech up

Definitely a bad idea to show your roaches to his overlord. I don't quite get why neither of you scouted the actual base of the other one though.

Also a Spine Crawler or two when you see that amount of lings coming in. Blocking the upper ramp would have been a lot easier by the way, but that would delay the natural so I'm not sure about it.

I also think that was an all-in attack, with that amount of lings. I think you were ahead in drone count.

I would recomend:

a) send lings

b) +1 distance weapons

c) don't attack with the roaches, go early roach to secure you'r natural, and take the natural ASAP, he was able to counter so fast beacuse of that second hatchery.

d) watch the replay to see if he had +1 melee on his lings.

@clonesniper92 I agree, but to at to point c) a bit, if you build roaches you need to do a push because it is hard to secure a third base with roaches.
