During the sky news clip there is a noticeable delay in the audio - is this the case with this taalet? this seems to be a common problem with cheap tablets - the scroll excel is just as bad - are there ANY 7in tablets under £150 that can actually play online video content with the audio in proper sync with the video?? Surely this is a basic requirement of any device sold for the purpose of playing media files and online video content?!

@jasreb - online video streaming can be affected by various things, ie: adobe flash, browser used, firmware of the tablet etc... there have been many releases of firmware for the novo 7 advanced, some have less sync issues than others but depends on user preference, some may not mind a very slight (almost unoticeable lip sync) others may not. Video playback of the novo 7 advanced is excellent but again some firmware works better than others.

@the70z - firmware 1.6T if not mistaken was 1Ghz but since then we have firmware v1.7.2 and now 1.8T. It is said the processor is capable of 1.5Ghz but the firmware has not yet made full use of this although we should see hopefully see it soon. It is possible that at 1.5Ghz it becomes a little unstable which is why it has not been pushed to the maximum. hope this helps

@SuperAnnas123 - thank you! with previous firmware's 1080p video playback was perfect but not yet got round to testing it on the newly released v1.7 firmware. Ainol have always specialized in MP4/5 players with superb video playback, and they have definitely put that experience into there Novo range of tablets as they can handle almost any video files thrown at them. the sky news tv channel shown in this video is streaming flash content.

@SuperAnnas123 - We are aware of the Novo 7 Basic running android 3.2 and hopefully we will see this for the Novo 7 Advanced also in the near future! we have tested your online video link and it works perfectly well on the Ainol Novo 7 Advanced (firmware v1.7,2). @kalel2jorel - Yes, 3G dongles are supported also. we have tested this with a Huawei E1750 usb 3G dongle and Virgin/T-Mobile UK Sim Card.

@johnny20041433 - unfortunately no integrated bluetooth but you may be pleased to know that the latest firmware supports 3G USB dongles and smartphone tethering, so what would be best for you is to use the blackberry wifi mobile hotspot feature for supported phones to allow the Novo 7 to connect to your blackberry mobile as a wifi connection whilst using your mobile data plan. Hope this helps.

quick update: new firmware v1.6 briefly tested and found the following so far... additional languages, 3g dongle support, no more lag after multiple background applications running -no android market included- (this firmware has not been provided by Ainol but by a third party instead, so expect to see another firmware soon by Ainol) will update upon further testing...

What is the battery life? Is this device a powerhouse? Responsive? Also can I purchase a mini usb keyboard case with it? (Since this device only has a mini-usb)

@FluffeyHD - the novo 7 battery test results are very impressive (5-6hrs+) due to it's built in power management but another great feature is that it supports 5v usb charging! is it a powerhouse? for the money...yes! Ainol are all about media playback and the Novo 7 & 8 support more or less any video files thrown at them. firmware version 1.6 is responsive yes, version 1.5 became a little sluggish after launching many applications and required task manager to kill background running apps.

@FluffeyHD - thank you for your nice comments. unfortunately we sold out much sooner than expected but are expecting the novo 7 to be back in stock within 7-10 days. we always make sure our tablets are dispatched with the latest version firmware depending on release of the latest firmware, we should see another firmware update by Ainol soon. currently we expect our next batch of stock to be provided with the latest 1.6 firmware and our usual custom setup of applications/games etc..

@FluffeyHD - yes you may purchase and use a rf wireless keyboard, the mini usb is supplied with an adapter cable and supports external devices such as usb flash drives, keyboards, mice etc..
