I don't think she's a pop icon, she's another artist who comes and goes. She's no Michael Jackson after all and her lyrics aren't all that great. Since her rise three years ago, she's broken countless records and has performed all over the world with dozens of musical veterans that find her interesting, unique, and powerful. She was named one of Time's Most Influential People and her songs have been covered thousands, if not millions of time all over the internet. She's hardly a flash in the pan.
