yeah one was o5 and the other was 06 some of the oil came out through the carb and puddled in the air box ....... just keep an eye on your oil level and you should be fine

well im 14 and can ride 450s i ride a modified banshee and kx500s normally it more or less depends on his skill level but i wouldnt get him one if hes any younger then 13 and thats pushing it but thats just my opinion

Yfz 450 is better hands down for everything except trail and wheelies, i've owned both and won't buy a raptor again. My modded yfz does trails good enough for me, I do mainly sand, trials and a little bit of track.

What about maintenance? Does the yfz450 need alot more maintenance than for example a raptor 700?

They are about the same, the early model raptor 660s weren't dependable at all but a yfz compared to a 700 is about equal, they will usually do good the first year and if you ride hard you'll need to start repairing stuff the second year. I've replaced a wheel, bearing, two a arms, one tie rod, and the shifter shaft, thats after two years on that quad and thats pretty standard amount of repair for something i own.

I haven't done a whole lot, just a valve and head job done at the shop and then hotcams, jetting, and open air intake. Other than that it's all stock. I've kind of backed off on my quad bc I bought a business last year and don't have nearly as much time to ride anymore. Also have a cut down race pipe. It's plenty fast for me now, I don't really race much anymore, like 2 times a year and then trails and dunes the other times.

Dude nice vid, but anybody can do that... get some mods on ur quad too, my YFZ's got a FMF Factory4.1 full system and highflow-air system and a bunch of other shit and you can't even keep the front tires on the ground, and after years of wheelies you should be able to do full handstands above ur quad, but overall the quad is giving you all ur skill
