I greatly respect those of you who suffer from an eating disorder; truly I do.

However, pro-ana(in some stances), often means denying anorexia or bulimia as an illness and calls it a life-style choice that should be respected!

I find this exceedingly sick and unhealthy. I know in other cases pro-ana refers to organizations that provide a sense of community for those with eating disorders, and this is perfectly fine. But I believe they are referring tot he more negative pro-ana here.

I love superchic[k], :D. there music is really inspiring. this song actually got me hooked on them.. and i totally agree with what your saying. people dont understand the real meaning of the song, but i think that might be because of the kind of music they play with it, it sounds sad.. so people automatically think "hey this song is telling us that anorexia is ok" When clearly, if you listen to the lyrics properly, its not. nice vid btw :D

This is awesome. I'm a HUGE fan of Superchic[k], and this song is about the lead singer's RECOVERY (yes, RECOVERY) from an eating disorder. You can tell it's not pro by who it is coming from- first, they're Christian. They aren't going to encourage someone to kill themselves slowly. Secondly, there's no way someone active in an ED has enough energy to keep up their rigorous touring schedule, especially considering how energetic their music is. Thanks for redeeming this song!

that's awkwardly true! every time I listen to that song, I think about these thinspos and pro-anas, it's related to them because I've heard it for the first time in a thinspo vid. it's the most touching song I've heard to that day (I know some more now) and I also get a different message than "anorexia is great, let's starve!"

Pro-Ana and thinspo people use this song because it describes exactly how they feel. every word of the song is what they are going through. Anthems arnt always happy. these pro ana people, there not happy their anerixic, but the eating disorder makes then persue their goals of being more and more thin, even if its not logical, its based on twisted feelings. you shouldnt critize pro ana's for using the song courage. "Courage" belongs to eveyone who finds themself in the song.dont judge pro ana

Okay, this is EXACTLY my pojnt. This song is about pain, & an ILLNESS. Pro-Ana's base their anorexic foundation on the fact that it's *not* a disease but a lifestyle choice. This song doesnt scream *anything* about a lifestyle choice, but inner, agony & PAIN. If Pro's are suffering WILLINGLY, are they suffering at all?? NO! This song does NOT promote Anorexia, it's a painfully beautiful song about inner termoil & strength to get thru it. I talk a lot of Pro's in my vids :) They piss me off! xoxo
