Jehovah's Witnesses are not perfect, but they are working very hard to remove crime in their organisation, but sometimes mistakes happens. They are the only religion that disfellowships its members if they commit crime and we all know that. Sometime we hear these kind of crimes in the army or police force, why, because they are not perfect too.

Dont hate Jehovah's Witnesses, but ONLY those who commit crime. Most of them are so peaceful and they just want to worship God. NO REPLY PLEASE.

Ok....they are completely exaggerating. My family are Witnesses, my parents are divorced. My father was expelled recently, and he still comes to our house everyday, and we do not ignore him, I mean he is still family. Blood is thicker than water, not to mention the 5th commandment of honoring our parents.

@Chon12490 You know nothing. I was DF'ed many years ago for smoking. You know what? I did not smoke. There were no witnesses to say I did. They seen some butts in my driveway so they ASSUMED I did. I had quit several years before. So down the road they sent me. Found out later the Elder in charge want to phuck my wife. Ended up divorced some years later. We had 6 kids. Out of them all only one will talk to me. So yes they will not talk to you or associate with you if you are DF'ed.

@BigDickRic Yes the witnesses will not associate with you, but our immediate family does not treat our own family like that, in the case of your children. My dad committed adultery we all know but no ones perfect. I don't like to be judged myself, so I don't judge anyone else. Like Jesus said "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone", I have no right to judge my father, for I myself am not perfect and shouldn't judge others.

@cbuddah13 Well said! Also, it's two sides of every story. It seems like the elders handled this matter (if it is true) like they should. Evidence must be presented and there must be eyewitnesses. However, they did tell her to go to the police. I really don't see why they would cover up something like this or any other gross sins as they uphold Jehovah's standards to it's highest esteem and will dis-fellowship any unrepentant sinner to preserve the cleanness of the organization.

This is stupid. I used to be a Witness, but I do know the organization doesn't try to hide that shit. They disfellowship and discipline the perpetrator, and they recognize that the cops have to be involved. A girl I knew told the elders about her uncles, an elder, who had molested her. They punished him and contacted the police. This is bullshit.

I used to be a JW. I left after 2 years as I decided it was not a God I knew. My God was love and peace, and I could not not relate to a God of 'excessive discipline'. This talk of wrath etc was confusing to me. However 10 years later, I get it. I committed sinful behaviour that could now by life threatening. I completely understand the need for 'house rules'. Though you don't get the reason for rules, don't rebel. A child don't get why his dad removes the matches it's playin with either

Ok, I get that this happened, I mean it happens all of the time not just with Jws. There are bad people everywhere, and some of them are JWs. Child abuse happens everywhere, but why is it such big news that it's a JW. I get that it was wrong, and it's shameful that this has happened inside the organization. But people who do commit these types of sins are expelled and are no longer known as JWs, until they are reinstated. But you can't just go expelling people who have been accused of something.

It's a crap policy. The elders "will investigate every allegation of abuse". How many elders are law enforcement? How many elders have legal "investigative" training. How many elders are trained to know what questions to ask, what signs to look for etc. This is not a spiritual matter. it is a CRIME, and needs to be investigated by those who know how to investigate this kind of CRIME.

@SirBratGribbley What an endearing comment. I left when I was 28. It took a couple of years to live without the fear of impending doom. When you're a JW, thoughts of Armageddon, fill your mind; but, because you're an "active" Witness you hope you'll make it. When you leave, the fears are like monsters in the dark surrounding you. Seeing this "expose" reinforces what my intuition told me for years, I lost who I was and became a W parrot, brainwashed to suppress questions.
