It's standard, but I think he tunes his guitar down a half step. But other than that, normal tuning.

As good as this version is you should check out the version of it on his live album "New & Approved" which is a 2 cd set of a show closing "The Carnival of Dreams" concert hall I believe in texas that he used to play at frequently. This is a straight through concert with no studio gimmicks featuring Monte at his best. His stuff and some GREAT covers. He's one of the best live performers ever. Monte Rules! Pass it on, he should be way more famous than he currently is.
