this movie inspired me to play guitar, since now I´ve been in a talent show, formed a band, learned how to read music in guitar, because of this music became my soul and inspiration,I´m also one of the few girls who ca play really good guitar.
If you wanna see somebody conduct watch here: Carlos Kleiber conducts overture of "Der Freischütz". A beautiful piece and a great conductor. A legend. All his movements have meanings and his movements following rules and structures in conducting. its a kind of language the orchestra understands.
Point taken =], it's probably a lot harder than it looks. I actually hadn't watched the movie before hand when I made the comment yesterday, but now I have. The way he dived into guitar and piano so well was pretty unrealistic too. Do you think that's even possible to be that good with just picking up an instrument?
Of course there are many children who are extremly musical and talented. BUT you have to LEARN an instrument for a LONG time even if you are talented. in the movie the boy sat down at the piano, looked at the notes (even he cant read notes before!!!) and startet to play. No! Then he finished a masterpiece in just a few (???) hours, days? This isnt realistic, even for a wunderkind. Other example was the guitar scene, where he found the guitar and started to play complex structures.
@LoveleyVideos August isn't a tallented child, he is a brilliant being who can speak through music the way we speak with English. It comes naturally to him, it is a gift, he is driven to create music. Some people are gifted to this level, but it's so rare, it's practically unheard of.
Wonderful movie, even some things (like the boy conducted or learned to conduct ...) are very unrealistic. However ... this movie is very emotional and beautiful. a kind of fairytale about family and music. Watch it !
