This isn't just in America even. I live in the UK and my brother was once kicked out of a shopping centre because a group of black guys had apparently caused trouble and they were seen to be "with them" because they were the same skin colour even though they didn't even know each other and were in different parts of the shopping centre.
I love the white actress because she plays the role so fucking good it almost seems that she is really like that in real like. She is good at playing a bitch and homophobe as well. She deserves an Oscar!
Please don't be another cop out. LIVE YOUR LIFE ACTIVELY... You can't just sit back and watch injustice pass you by because you're "scared"... Grow some nuts and STAND UP FOR YOU FELLOW HUMAN.
Used to happen to me all the time. I guess I'm considered an old man now and no longer a threat. So I don't get followed around, harassed, stopped at the door to ask what I'm looking for, etc like I used to. However, every now and then I catch wind that someone is following me around a store. Heck, I even had some lady security follow me around WalMart. I kept seeing the same lady every time I went to buy groceries. Until I made eye contact with her. I still see her walking around every so often
this is so disgusting. Especially the guy who pretends he's not racist to the camera crew but agrees with the fake saleswoman.
I have a feeling the red lady is fake. Not only she looks at the camera but she didn't even tell how she was against it, just cried for no reason.
I don't get how people do not get involved. It takes you 2min to help somebody out, and you feel much better knowing you did. It's not like you're scared for your life, the worst that could happen is getting kicked out
@Nihilanthe continued... about it they do what the guy did in this vid they negate responsibility taking and put it on others lol. What a cowardly thing to do.People like that should at least have a little integrity to freely express what they really feel regardless of where they're at or who they're around.I dont think this stuff will ever go away sadly it'll always be around.
@stevenesio our whole culture was stolen from us...white people stole dis whole country...and they're still stealing from other countries as we speak! (iraq) so if black people stole somebullshyt from u then jus chop it up 2 life! dis is America the LAND OF THE THIEVES from white 2 black 2 asian
I don't think the masses will ever understand wait it means to live as a minority in this country until they've had their rights brazenly violated in a similar situation for no reason! They say we should embrace our individuality & identify ourselves only as Americans (which we all are) -- but then crap like this happens (and daily) & they don't relate. How do we live in "one" America when Americans are still treated so differently?
I never knew of the bystander effect untill I stumbled upon this show. It's shocking that stuff like this happens in real life, wheter its bullies or racists.... Things like these make you lose faith in humanity. It's disgusting.
Are you serious? Are all of you serious. I grew up in a White upper-class neighborhood in SC and also lived next to a lower class neighborhood. It has nothing to do with color, it has to do with the way people are brought up. I never thought I would comment on YouTube but you guys are complete morons.
On my first date with my then girlfriend, I followed her in to a bar here in New York. After she walked in un-hindered,I was then stopped by the bouncer as I tried to enter.I then asked the bouncer why he didn't stop the girl in front of me.His answer was "She comes in here all the time".I told him "This is her first week in New York, she is 21 years old,and I've lived in New York for 10".Every day I'm reminded how racist we americans are.
Well, using that rationale, I guess all black people should be apprehensive when they see the police. As blacks tend to "fit the description" of any crime
So much so that when SOME white folks do something DUMB themselves, they blame a fictional black person for the crime (Susan Smith, Bonnie Sweeten, Charles Stewart etc.)
@pinksuperbunnie yeh once i was shopping at a place and someone was rasist to me (i am asain). and no body helped me.. i wish people are good hearted like the people who helped
i like how the dude asks him "would you defend me" and the interviewer was kinda hesitant and then said yes. People are being harassed in all kinds of situations and lots of people do not get involved. It is a scary situation to intervene. Don't look down on those customers who did not get involved or followed after one person stood up for the customer. Harassment happens and people are scared for the consequences, i.e. losing jobs, death, wounded, loss of friends.
I think the only reason he asked that question was because he was being insincere about feeling bad for that woman. So in a way he was being defensive when he said "would you defend me?" As a way to justify him being completely two faced about the entire situation.
@BlackMercura That's the term that eveyone uses these days...if these idiots didn't want blacks to play the 'Black Card' or 'Race Card', they shouldn't have dealt the deck. lol....Just keeping it real.
In the words of Timothy Thomas in 1971...."No Matter What Color...You're Still My Brother"...lol....Why Can't We Live Together? lol
Is this for real? But is it race or the way that people dress? Do shabby white people or asian gangster types get welcomed? What a phony scenario anyway - no wonder people had no idea what to do.
I loved the group at the end. Goes to show that although racism clearly is alive and thriving....there are people with good hearts who will not submitt to injustice.
White shopkeepers keep eyes on black people do you know why?.....Cos Africa are the worlds richest thats how white folks always going there took everything like gold oil ivory cocoa etc etc!
wow, that girl in the pink just affirmed my trust in humanity. thank you. ;~~~;

@stevenesio Yeah, but I have been sexually attacked my white men multiple times. I'm not white but I won't generalize and call them all rapists.
