  • Dude that's fucking raw !!!!!!

  • I've never been brave enough to do a type2. If you get rear-ended, there goes your engine. If you rear-end someone, there goes your legs!

  • Td isso de motor mas, se puxar mesmo desmonta a kombi.

  • is that air cooled 911 motor?

  • Cool Van! Nice choice of engine.

  • Nice and I Love it! Truckers won't get mad at that rig for slowing them in the mountains.

  • Beast!

  • you need to get a video of you kicking someones butt in a race that would be cool and funny

  • the bus shell goes on a 911 quite easy...

911's are a very expencive beetle.

if you have a good shell of a bus already, you can get a decent porshe with shit body for like 5-7k euros here

  • you are my hero, this is an amazing sleeper

  • Air cooled ftw!

  • you put a Porsche engine in a VW bus!!!

    ...

    ...

    Why???

Ok it would actually be really funny to see the look on a street racer's face when you beat his ass out in a straight flat run in a VW bus..

    But..

Well actually that would be priceless to see..

    But really..

  • Is this a 4 cylinder engine???

however, i think the vw bus will runs really nice with this engine!!!

    bye

  • Thumbs up!

  • I want!

  • How hard was it to put in the motor? Did you use the bus trans?

    Arne

  • @busdoc1 very, VERY nice. does it ever bottom out by sitting low whenever you hit a bump?

  • cool :)

  • @Mr67type1

    busdoc1

    vor 1 Jahr

    Dude? Beetles called Type 1 and not T1!!! This one is a Typ2 Split = T1. Bay = T2 Edge = T3 watersplasher = T4 the new one = T5. Beetle = Type 1 Bus = Type 2 Notch, fast , square = Type 3 411, 412 = Type 4. Learn it from the busdoc. Arne

  • That's not a type 1.Beetles and Ghia's are type 1.Square back,fastback,and notchback is type 3.Vuses and transporters are type 4

  • lolol thumbs up... nice one

  • I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT WAS POSSIBLE!!!!!...and cool

  • how did you start from engine?

  • @DecaPierce

Got another knob in the engineromm

    Arne

  • @busdoc1 how much do the busses weigh in lbs?

  • crazy... LOL. A nice engine in the magic bus.

  • how many mpg do you get with a vw bus typically.and with your engine like this how much?

  • how many mpg do you get with a vw bus typically..

and with your engine like this how much?

  • and when its finished you'll still look like a COCK in a banana skin

  • I WANT THAT IN MY BUS!

  • To be honest, it dosn't fit too well, and you scared the dog. Can you even close the hood?

  • Great job, love that denim farm outfit too!

  • awesome!

  • I have a feeling that your guna hit a turn at like 80+ and go rolling like a log down a hill.

    But, other than that.....AWSOME!!

  • teflongator = homo

  • air cooled pieces of junk

  • @teflongator

Yep gota love doing head gaskets on water cooled :)

  • carbs are for dumbasses

  • thats my dream car.....wanna sell it?

  • cool....

  • yeah ok , i just came in my pants when i saw that flame . . .

  • ALWAYS ALWAYS use an air-cooled Porshe engine. Water-cooled engines shold be left where they are. I recommend a 993 911 engine.

  • Always ALWAYS use a water cooled porshe engine because they are more durable. I recomend a turbocharged engine for more power.

    Good Job

  • OK but the turbo can provide more uphill power especially in a Bus where they usually suffer in high gradients. As I live in a mountaneous area this is a good option but would this affect the reliability of the engine as it will use slightly more fuel especially if driving above 2000ft from sea level with several passengers??

  • Worried about fuel consuption when swapping the VW for a Porsche engine? Come on......

  • I don't give a toss about fuel consumption, its the fact that stopping off for fuel in a crowded station waiting for the owner of the car in front hogging the fuel pump and shopping inside to buy croissants and coffee for 20 minutes is intolerable. I would fit a 95 liter tank to reduce the amount of time in fuel cues.

  • Love It ! NICE BUS ! saw one of those in a bug & one in a corvair wagon ; yes a corvair ! BOTH WERE WILD !

  • At 215km/h it would much rather drive backwards LOL.

  • best engine swap i've seen in a vdub. sooo sick!

  • hamma

  • El misil...

  • Transcends all languages.

  • brutal

  • VW"s they might pass em but they wont out last em!!!!

  • Nice Work!!!

    Hang Loose!

  • That can't be a 67....didn't they put in the back up lights for 67?? :O

  • You're wrong, man.

This is a 1967 T1 build in may of 67. One of the last T1s.

I owned it now for 20 years and I know everything 'bout my bus.

    Arne

  • It's ok, not tryin to knock ur bus or u or anything, just saying, I was under the impression that the backup lights were added right away in 67. May is pretty early in the year still, so I bet they didn't add the extra lights until halfway thro or later in the year... Cool bus btw, I bought my 71 bay window for my first car, I love it to death, but I still wish I had a splitty....or a Porsche engine...I tick alot of ppl off on the highway XD

  • @Shaggyshadric ive got a 71 superbug and that still didnt even have back-up lights

  • @pedekiller u've got a bug not a bus my friend. If a bug started backing up, the worst it could do is stub ur toe :P Buses could do some major shin damage >:D No but seriously, 1968 buses had them for sure, i thought they put backup lights on the 67's too, but I'm too lazy to look for proof :P I've got a 71 bay window(oh yeah, I was the ****ing bees knees in highschool XD ) and that has backup lights...granted they dont work at the moment...but i'll fix that eventually ;]

  • is it fuel injected or running on carbs?

  • Runs with carbs. There is no place for the injection. :-)

  • Hi, is it true that injected motors are not as reliable as on with carb? also yours has one or two carbs? and finally I got a 79 T2 do you know how much would it cost a 2.0 Porsche engine for her?

  • depends on what you are going to do with it

  • Me too redfazer6. I wouldn't be homeless, either.

  • I'd sell my house before I sold my bus. 1972 Devon camper with a 2.2 Subaru engine pushing it along. The definition of true love :-)))

  • I LOVE VW MICRO-BUS'

I vowed to never have sold mine but, had to, due to some bad stuff. I regret that move still, til this day. I dumped $8,000, into it, & the interior was still not there. Good times though. I painted it 2 x. I learned from some mistakes made but, what I know now, just assures me,that my next Bus will be perfect. A V8 is just too much for the unibody of a Bus.Roll bar frame would be needed.I'm a stick with VW or Porsche&, just race that ship out.

    Good sounding engine!

  • be like wanta race and bet some money and woop them hahahahaaa

  • i want to make something like this, but how much time and money does it coasts?

  • jea engine does 200km/h, BUT brakes??????

  • All brakes from a Porsche 944 .

  • Awesome man awesome>

  • I bet you would get some really weird looks from people if you passed them on the road at 215 kmh in a VW Bus!

  • HE DID HANG LOOSE!

Must be a surfer who has to get fast to the water.

  • Dude? Beetles called Type 1 and not T1!!! This one is a Typ2 Split = T1. Bay = T2 Edge = T3 watersplasher = T4 the new one = T5. Beetle = Type 1 Bus = Type 2 Notch, fast , square = Type 3 411, 412 = Type 4. Learn it from the busdoc. Arne
  • You are completely wrong, Busdoc is right

  • Except Busdoc *is* right .... The T1 is the splitscreen kombi, the Type 1 is the beetle ... just look it up on wikipedia! ;)

  • do u know the horse power that puts out?

    sounds good

  • does that enable you to climb hillgrades at highway speeds without overheating

  • Thats awesome! You have done something many of us only dreamed of doing!

Great sound in a great vehicle!

    VW For life!

  • jo is ganz gut xD

  • its only a porch kit ive got one in my bus

    but awsome sound though.

  • lol the exhaust flamed..

    pretty cool

  • Haha.. "the fear" I'd say it would be fairly terrifying at top speed :)

  • i like the bus in the backround too man

  • It's a 65 split. A double door 13 windows bus with weldet in Samba roof and last windows. Waiting for restauration . I've got many parts and a walk through for it. Searching for a complete pre 63 rear with small decklid. Samba or not.

So than it is a: 23windows- walk through- doubledoor split witch is build at the same day when I was born. 13.10.1965.

    Sorry 'bout my English.

  • i got all the bits u need bro i work in scrappy yeard 1 come in 2 day with load of new bits in side

  • yea i think it works without doing anything. in germany its called "boxermotor" and they are smaler then normal engines.

  • what do i have to do to put this engine in a vw bug or can you even put this big engine in one ?? any one know?

  • I have seen a V8 in a bug. Anything is possible. It is limited only by your imagination....Peace.

  • ... And your wallet ...

  • In my case lately my wallet counts as imagination. lol.

  • wow, nice flame at 0:13 !

  • sehr geiles Teil!

  • I am planing to put one in a VW Beetle.

  • that is sooo sweet

  • this is a stupid qwestion but is the 2.6 a 6 cylinder or 4 cylinder?

  • 6 cylinder , what else.......

  • nice work! I really suggest changing the 5 blade cooling fan though.

  • Sweeeeeet

I've uploaded a video of my camper going up a hill in Newquay... this is the engine I need lol

  • (Drool) i want that engine in my VW bus

  • Uah, bei 215 möcht ich nicht im Bulli sitzen ;)

  • Very nice!

  • That is so cool, nice work!

  • Suuper Sound und schöner Bus (was wan von hinten sehen kann). Deine "hang-loose-performance" ist aber noch ausbaufähig...;-)

  • Great engine and amazing sound.

  • That thing sounds great, I want one!

  • any detailed info on how to do this? please send it to me

  • is it a type 4?

  • No. An expensive 911 6 cyl.. Lost an exhaustvalve at 140km/h. Broken piston/zylinder.

    F**k.

  • oh man sorry about that:/

  • Theres a van like this with porsche engine doing a race circuit somewhere on youtube, handles quite well it seemed, better than beetle even, longer so better weight distribution on van maybe apart from height obviously but lowered with fat rims and excellent, dont know about mpg though!

  • its jamie oliver's van it was on top gear

  • This is jamie olivers van?

  • no it was a response to someone who wanted to know where he saw a van like that on the tely

  • jjjuauauauauuuauauujajjjajajuauuauuauauuauauau vwvwvwvwvwvwvvw powerrrrrrrrrr

  • i want that bus;)

  • Hehe deve ser muito boa pra andar na granja transportando galinhas, ovos, alfafa.

Puta merda q Kombi muito massa.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I would've put the exhaust tip in an upward-pointing position, so when you're running on a cold day, it spews it upward. That looks sick.

  • what exhaust is that, it sounds so nice??

  • truly an awesome sound! how long did it take? alot involved? Stock tranny or porsche? hard to put in bus? Let me know please

  • lol

  • yeah!!! jajaja..porsche power!!! I want one of those on my 57 bug...

  • Need to see more of this bus dude..

  • Siiiick!

  • Heck yeah!!
