taiwanese swat officers are awesome! and for who don't know their equipments, i'll show u here:

T65K2 Assault Rifles (with the look of an M16 and the interior of an AR-18)

T77 Submachine Guns (mini-uzi look-alike though bigger, open bolt design)

SWA5 Submachine Guns (basically MP5 copied manufactured by Special Weapons)

for sidearms: T75 Pistol, and maybe some P226 series.

Very rare footages here man, I have always wanted to see the coast guard CT unit exercise part. They are some of the firsts to use RAM paintball guns as simulation equipments, and the MP CT units are pretty good when they actually get better equipments and training facilities. A few years ago they look more like clowns than anything else, glad to see that the government is giving them a lot more attention these days. Thanks for posting, I give you 5 out of 5.

The most bad ass has to be the Army Frogmen. A.k.a Amphibious Reconnaissance Battlion. They got to have the toughest training of all in the military units of taiwan.

we are the ones in the red shorts doing the frogman drills. dont be fooled by the videos though. it actually seems fun and enjoyable in the video, but when your there. only can describe it as... hell on earth.

The MP with the swords are called Honor Guards. Obviously, not all MP guard like that, only the speical selected few who can pass the non blinking and non moving test for the whole 2 hours of sentry duty can actually be set up to stand at some monument or whatever. They are really just for show.

Taiwan is a great country. But Taiwan's people were never united among each other. US had a policy which very few Taiwanese knew about. If DPP wins the elections by 75% or more, the US will change their One China Policy and they will officially recognize Taiwan and support Taiwan into UN and WHO. Other countries under US influence would also recognize Taiwan. But KMT won the election and Ma Ying Jeou loves China too much. He has no back bone.

SWAT or CT, don't matter. In each different coutnries, they have their own tactics for their own situations. Taiwan SWAT has to learn CQC because their criminals aren't like ours criminals who fights with lethal weapons, their fights with weapons and CQC. You seen how Taiwan's SWAT move? All about agility and flexibility. Nice and swift. Overall our SWATs stand firms, more like attacking our enemies mentally, showing them we are greater, but then again, I'm no expert, just from my point of view.
