I am a long-time cat lover/owner and know that these animals are incredibly smart. I have taught my cats tricks/communication techniques over the years and you know what? The cat always simplifies the techniques and/or trains me back! @keji1 It is not cruel to keep a cat indoors. I have had many cats all who have never been outside and are healthy happy big kittys. Letting a domestic cat outdoors is only asking for something bad to happen to them. They can pick up many diseases, face other animals like dogs and coyotes, and get hit by cars. The house is a very safe place for a kitty. Now what would be cruel is to not have any toys or a jungle gym for the kitty to play with, or room for the kitty to run around

@FluffyPinkStuffy ..... sound to me your from the states, well maybe it is dangerous for cats to be out there but it isn't here, i'm in the uk, there are very little chances of cats catching disease and there is less chance of them getting killed by a cayote because over here they dont exist. so i am not being cruel to let my cat go out and about, the worst that can happen here is attack by a fox maybe but that is very rare as well
