One last thing to sleep on: The family grew up on the coast and most biographers described the children of Joseph and Rosemary as excelent sailors and SWIMMERS. don't think a politicians drinking is certain to cloud his judgement. winston churchill was regularly hammered in the commons and he still managed to unite a nation and half the world against nazism. he was probably slurring his words when he warned parliament that hitler was a warmonger. they didn't care to listen till he was proved right then they asked him to sort out the mess!
