Everytime when I do the 64000 walk when i get to my 39775 step, yes exactly that number, I get a message saying I need ribbions to enter and then I end up in the resort area I'm fine though my game is not mee u and im in "real" sinnoh but i still want a shaymin so in order for the cheat to work do I need the ribbons?

She will give you the flower.

Doing the glitch to get 'early' Shaymin on Platinum does not work.

You need Oak's Letter to trigger Shaymin's actual appearance because, getting there without the intended item does not reveal Shaymin.

theres a better way to tweak... no annoying paths or anything. just you make two turns and boom, you can go to the void. i tried for months before using the four squares next to the lamp. very hard. use ghost94057's "Easier Tweaking Method to Obtain Darkrai and Shaymin" video. works great.

1) Go back to Canalclave City

2) Once there, find the sailor (the one who's taken you places on his boat)

3) Talk to him

4) Go to his house and talk to his son

5) Talk to the sailor again,

6) Finish Fullmoon Island Event

7) Now, Cresselia is roaming Sinnoh! It'll appear on the map function of the Poketch, Look up a guide on how to catch roaming Pokemon on Google or Youtube

I had a serious question. What is the ACTUAL risk involved with tweaking for Shaymin? I've heard tons of people say it can wipe your game, but when I think about what is actually taking place, it doesn't seem like it should be that risky.I've been in the void many times, but too afraid to try for Shaymin or do any of that save stuff.

Also, do you have to save/use the explorer kit? or can it work without doing that.

But a question, when you get to Fake Sinnoh to get Shaymin you only travel the painstanking 6~k once, but for Darkrai you need to go around and around for 2+hrs. Can we just get to Fake Sinnoh the Shaymin way (LOL XD) and get Darkrai? I want to test this myself, but glitching is hard on my DS and thumb and I don't want to waste the void I just got yesterday, which I wanted to get Darkrai but keep freezing going north, 56k.

Only Fatefull Encounter Shaymins get the sky form. Which i think only from unlcoking the platinum event. Not the diamond and pearl one.

Yes it has to be diamond/pearl. Platinum has new 3D programming so it is no longer a 32x32 bit set maps.

Fundemental rules of the Void:

1. ONLY save in an area that says 'Jubilife City' when you enter. Don't even open your menu for that matter.

2. Open and close your Pokedex before you try and save. If it freezes when you close it, your game would've froze when you saved.

3. When stepping onto fake Sinnoh's Seabreak Path, step on the middle ONLY. For some reason, if you're not in the middle, it will freeze.

4. NEVER EVER USE THE EXPLORER KIT! It's almost a guaranteed freeze. Always save manually!

I did this same glitch with pearl... But when I went underground and reset, when I rebooted the game, I was in a black void, and when I moved around the music glitched up. It was kind of scary, but in the end I had to start a new game. Well, at least I tried. It was fun :3

@acuidad Hey it's fine I understand the some Youtubers dislike the dodgy methods of getting them. I've got them by pure legit methods too (Platinum Wi-fi and public events). At least on HeartGold/SoulSilver it's not possible to glitch your way to Shinjo Ruins just to get a level 1 Palkia/Giratina/Dialga without a legit Arceus ;).

Took about 5 hours no thanks to the black screen and game freezing but I finally got the dang thing wooooo! When I got to fake sinnoh it was all gray and white but opening the items bag made the fake region color itself after closing it. Had to go 875 steps to the right and stick something on the button to keep going constantly.

fake sinnoh can make you go anywhere you want, really. find flat ground that is 'Jubilife city in the corner' and save. use menu after resetting and you're there. whereever you tweak, find that background place and save on flat ground, and you'll be there! hope this helps. good tip right?!

This really works! I caught myself a Shaymin yesterday! With one Quick Ball!

When I went East for 870 steps then went up, at about 24000 steps, a message would come up saying "Sniff... You need more ribbons" Then I went out and suddenly arrived at Resort Area.

On my second try I went a bit further at 880 steps right and I got to Flower Paradise!

You have to be really careful and make sure you have a Pokemon that knows fly with you!

this absolutely works and should not mess up your game!

just some tips. Tweaking is very difficult and requires patience and many many tries. it's important to keep moving if you think you did it right, because the only way you can cross into the void is if you haven't lost speed. also pay close attention to the steps once you're in the void, as you don't want to have to repeat it too many times once you're heading on your 64000 steps find something heavy to weigh down the up arrow Enjoy shaymin
