Yeah I never understood how the so-called critics could call this the low point in Vitus career when it's easily one of their best efforts. If ever there was a weak Vitus album that was "V" (which is still better than 99% of the shit around)
@MCARM666 Exactly. Plus, Doom is the Metal style that has most of the Blues roots still in it. For example, Sleep used Blues pentatonics on every song of their album Holy Mountain. Love it!
@PisauraXTX Every doom metal band has blues pentatonics, 'cos the initial sound of doom metal was a slow, down-tuned heavy distorted psychedelic rock/acid rock which combined their hallucinatory/trippy sound with a very dark atmosphere, something that would make you feel doomed for eternity (=> Early Black Sabbath).
