  • Never before have I felt this hurt and sad over the loss of a singer. Yet Liam is not just a "singer" to me.. We were fortunate to get to know his personality through his amazing words of poetry and song. I miss him and will forever hold him dear.

    Thanks for this tribute.

  • Beautiful tribute....thanks for sharing, R.I.P. Liam***

  • Liam was, without reservation, my favorite singer of all time. There was just something in his voice and heart that seemed for provide the perfect combination whether he was singing a mournful ballad or a rollicking jig.

I'd happily give my left leg to be able to sing half as well as he could. I'll miss him terribly.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed

Through the Mercy of God rest in peace

    Amen

  • "But as year follows year, more old men disappear..." Wow that gave me goosebumps. Great tribute Daragh

  • Oh yes, those were the days..

  • Rest in Peace Last o' the High King

  • His voice was that of a true balladeer. its hard to accept that the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem are gone. I will forever treasure their music

  • Oh. my. gosh! It is so sad!!! I can't believe he's dead, and they are all gone!!!! Had he been ill or somethings?

It's depressing, in a way. I seriously feel like crying, lol. I loved their music and they were such a part of my life, as I m sure they were for many others as well. RIP, and may their souls and all the souls of the faithfully departed rest in peace. Thank you for the music, for the songs we're singing!!!

  • RIP

  • Clancys where the ones that got the ball rolling along with Tommy Makem, their likes will never be seen again, i only seen Liam once in concert in the early eighties with Tommy Makem, it was a brilliant night, the audience singing too, along with one liners from Liam and Tommy, me and my friends trying to sing Mary Mack, a great night alround. rest in peace Liam.

  • Nice video, thanks for the upload! I've been a Clancy fan nearly all my life and my father took me to my first live music concert when I was 8 or 9 in the mid-80s and it was a Clancy concert. He took me to several more when I was growing up. I've never stopped listening to their music. Liam was my favorite, I loved his voice.

I think this video particularly affected me because I lost my father a month ago and looking at the concert footage reminded me of those times.

  • He has gone to join his brothers and tom, they must be making such wonderful music up there. i feel like i have just lost one of my family , so so sad. god bless you liam.
