@Deathsiren Dawnbringer are actually a very diverse Stoner metal band. Some songs like "Old Wizard" are more traditional sounding than others, but they are all (more or less) stoner. Despite what the name suggests, it has nothing to do with how psychedelic the lyrics or music are. The genre was coined from a compilation album called "Burn One up! Music for Stoners." So, stop trying to correct everyone and get better acquainted with the genre before throwing out stupid questions.
I can't beleive I just heard these guys for the first time this week. This album is incredible. Like a strange mix of The Sword, Mastadon and Maiden. Turning all my friends onto this album.
@Deathsiren When I first listened to this I must have heard some Maiden but after all this time I don't hear it like I did the first couple listens. I'm going to guess it was from the 2:20 mark onwards that made me think of Maiden a little bit. It is far from copying or ripping then off just some influence peaking through would have been a better deiscripton of what I meant. Still love this album!!
Doublebass at 4:05 ....yeah... like a really Earthquake.

@heavythinking I'd classify this as stoner doom. Not trying to be a genre nazi, but you know there are some of those around here ;)

@MourningCandle Stoner doom? How is this stoner doom? There is not the slightest bit of stoner in here.
