Some of you guys are fucking idiots. The third album was definitely an attempt to latch on to the emo trend that was going on at the time. Lostprophets tried to get on it and it obviously backfired. The first two albums were great though, I'll never consider anything anything later than those as Lostprophets.

@brumwrestling to me this is their best album so far, their first is not as good as this one but has some amazing songs. (this one is their 2nd)

Their 3rd is way too slow compared to this one but still has kickass songs, and the last one... What happened to the real LPS? :(

@arkychon I disagree, I think Liberation Transmission was their best album, it had so many top songs. Start Something is a close second though, but it has a song I dislike in Last Summer. The Betrayed isn't that bad but it's nowhere near as good as those 2, and I wasn't a huge fan of the first album either so I'd rate those 2 about the same.

@PinkNinjaNews Emo? They never were emo, Liberation Transmission has just more emotion because Ian's vocals had improved making the album stand out. The Betrayed is quite good too even tho it DOES have like 1 emo song "Darkest Blue" altho it's still a good song.

@PinkNinjaNews Well no, emo and Pop Rock aren't the same genre. Pop Rock covers a LOT of bands whereas there are nowhere near as many emo bands, especially these days. Emo can also be hardcore and not radio friendly so it doesn't fall under Pop Rock, altho some does.

@PinkNinjaNews - good call man. I lost interest after I bought LT and realised they had gone mainstream. i wouldn't say emo, i would say pop rock just going after chart success. Their first album was awesome followed up with a great second album and then... meh. I think as I got older they went the other way, a younger audience.
