  • Does a hackamore give you the same amount of control a bit would? My boy doesn't like the bit but he's also kind of a trouble maker. I would love to switch over for him to be happier but I also don't want to give him an opportunity to take advantage of me.

  • what do you recomend for a b racer

  • @HorseyHow2Channel, are you talking about a horse that is bracing with the bit? Or is bracing with his head/neck and won't flex laterally?

  • i think it the second or thired eaither way the one with grass reins and i was wounderif you cound put barrel reins on on of them my horse just cant stand bit soo yhea

  • @HorseyHow2Channel, You could use one piece or roping reins, which are the same as what you are calling barrel reins. If you horse can't stand a snaffle bit, it may be too loose (banging on his teeth), or too tight in the corners of his mouth (no relief), or he may still have his wolf teeth or a portion of a wolf teeth still in. Or, no offense, you may be a little heavy handed. Still if a hackamore works for you, you can use a one piece or roping rein. Good luck, safe journey.
