This is just unbelievable. Too, too funny and cute. Just love Jim's dance moves and Greg's ENERGY!! Would love to see them try and bust those moves now. PRICELESS!
hahahahahah this video gives me nightmares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! keelor without grey hair!!! love this!!!! faveroute band:bluerodeo... 2nd fav: fly to france... haha
This is some fabulous footage!! Thank-you for posting this Seguida... the early performance (with you drumming!) is very cool! To think this song went on to be so huge too! ♥ it! *****
Jim said "In Fly, we played all kinds of music: ska, reggae, punk, rock, etc. We did all the same futile stuff every band does. We had a manager who made a series of dumb decisions and then disappeared, chased futile leads with promo people and sent out endless packages. Finally, Greg and I decided we would just sit and record a bunch of songs from beginning to end. thery moved back to canada and became :BLUE RODEO".excess of four million copies around the world. THANKS FOR THE GREAT WORDS,STEVE
I remember these guys from NYC circa 1981. I didn't know they made a video!! I love the way the drummer stands up in the video so he can be seen - "xlarkie" is right he was a great drummer; clearly the driving force behind the band. Anyway, someone I know told me they all moved to Belgium and started a country act and hit it big in the Brussels bar scene. Is that true? Somebody has to know what happened to these guys!
This song found it's way onto the first Blue Rodeo album and became the song that really got me into them. Been a huge fan since then (1987) I'd be interested to know if you've looked into the recordings they've made since. In fact, their 11th studio album was released last Tuesday (November 10th '09
Jim and Greg moved back to Canada (where they were born) and went on to form the enormously popular Canadian county rock band known as Blue Rodeo. They did not Fly to France or Belgium for that matter.
WOW!! Whatever happened to these guy??. I was a huge F2F fan in the early '80s when they played gigs down in The Bowery. I even have a signed headband from Steve. Good drummer. Great drummer.
You can't be serious. They (2 of them anyway) went on to become one of the greatest bands in Canadian history. The name of the band? Blue Rodeo of course! Just take a look at the related videos in the right hand sidebar.
