it is not necessary when you have a mobile phone, every mobile phone have alarm clock, so, not needed

good question. Here is why. I too use my phone as my clock but if I am traveling I don't want to rely ONLY on my phone. When I need to be somewhere I like redundancy in my alarm clocks.
