@1976coolman well your better off saving up a bit more money and then buying a good bike then buying a crappy bike for $200. But brands like eastern and verde and others have really cheap bikes that aren't half bad for the price.

@tuscan60 concentrate on hopping more than getting the rotation in your 180s and they should eventually start getting higher.and also try to get you bunny hops higher in general.

If I buy a BMX bike with brakes, could I just take of the brakes without messing up the bike? Or should I just keep looking for a BMX bike without brakes cause they're pretty hard to find

You can always remove the brake caplipers, the cable and the lever, pretty easily. But you can also get certain frame where there brake hardware can be removed. This would include things like the brake lugs that are made to hold the calipers onto the frame.

Yes, You could easily get a Kink and take the brakes off.

There is also no need for a video, when you get your bike, you will see how easy it is to remove your brakes.

I think the Hyper dR is idealy used for racing. But it could also probaly be used for freestyle as well.

ok so im buying my first bmx bike today but the one im looking at doesnt have handle bar brakes the brakes engage when you pedal backwards. is that a bad thing? someone please help

If you are going to want to learn any kinds of tricks, you dont want to be getting that sort bike. The reason for this is if say you do a 180, you will instantaneoulsy dont even before you get a chance to fakie out.

Yes, you should get a BMX with 20" wheels although if you are a really short, you could consider getting an 18" BMX as it will be easier to do certain tricks on your bike, but you need to consider how much you will grow.
