  • How much MPG is your car in urban and on the highway at 120 kph? on Lpg I loved your cars performance I want to apply the same my w201 2.3 16v

  • i will solder it now and fgo check to the car :) i woul like to do some cruising today on lpg with my monter :) check my vids :) i will send You a PM with adress if You would like to see:)

  • Thanks for your inform.i will try.

  • hello, i'm doing the same thing :) greetings form poland.... i've tried to run lpg as nos, to have semisequention, but it is not possible to do if i have high z pb inj and low z lpg inj....

i have question to You about gas pressure and gas temperature correction ?? because lpg computers have such , and ms ii doesn't. how do you correct amount of lpg?

  • @kubeqsq

You're right, MSII doesn't have any means for correcting gas pressure and temperature, I figured I would let the wideband lambda sensor correct these for me after the combustion. If the mixture is poor, then it injects more gas, if it is rich, it injects cuts off gas. It is not the same but it still does the job.

  • @gorilux007 thx, i thought so, but could You help a little more,i've made careful doldering on my db, and on proto 12v pullup, on the processor i get 5v when switched off, 0v when on, but nothing in TS happens, it doesn't show that something is changing. i've turned in extended table swirching on, hardware, but when i was in my car both banks fired the same time... i don't know what is going on, cold You help me??

  • @kubeqsq

You need to take a look at the msextra manual under tableswitching control.

In my installation I have bank1 for petrol injectors and bank2 for LPG injectors. The signal from the MS is always outputted from the board to the bank, so you'll need to install a relay betteween the bank signal and the injectors so that when you activate the panel switch for the lpg the relay turns off the bank1 signal and turns on bank2 signal.

  • @gorilux007 so what is the sense to do the soldering on the db... if the processor uses both outputs no matter which is turned on...?? i don't understand it at all :/ i looked it through aout and they don't tell anything about relays... i thougt, that ms will turn bank 1 when switch is turned off and bank 2 when switch is turned on...

  • @kubeqsq

I did my installation over 2 years ago. But from what I can remember the on/off dashboard switch tells MS to switch tables (table1 to table 3) and also activates a relay that turns off the fuel pump and activates the LPG solenoid valve and also deactivates petrol injectors and activates the lpg injectors. I remember I used the manual as a guide line, but I had to dig into the software code to figure out how it worked.

When I have time I'll open my MS up and post some pictures.

  • Dear gorilux007,how did you addapted sequential lpg system, that car has got mecanical injector system.pls inform me that my friend wnat to.

  • @ista34

Hi, I removed the mechanical injection and installed a DIY EFI system. I used an megasquirt ECU.

Megasquirt is an ECU amongst other things supports dual fuel systems. Try Googleling for Megasquirt.

    Cheers

    David

  • 220 on LPG very nice job man! love the car! I want to do that to my E320 W124 but I am not sure yet. I like so much the power. I am afraid that it will lose it's power after LPG?!

  • @Yrodik

    Thank you.

My setup is dual fuel, so there is no power loss while running on normal petrol. On LPG you get about 10% power loss.

I'm currently in the finishing stages of a supercharger eaton m90 installation so that I have so much power that I don't care whether I'm running on petrol or LPG.

  • @gorilux007 what is that supercharger that you are using? is that possile for E320 W124 from 1994? how much would that cost?

  • The petrol guage doesn't read lpg gas quantities(obviously) so how do you know how much you have available.

  • @MAJORSNODGRASS

LPG gas tank has a different indicator.

  • Hi!

What lambda do you have at cruise and at full load?

    Thanks,Peter

  • @pnanassy

Hi Peter, right now I installing a supercharger in the car and I can't remember what I tuned in, I haven't hooked it to a computer for about a year or so. But I think for LPG I've tuned the AFR to 14 something for WOT and for cruising 15 something.

There are some conversion tables AFR to Lambda in some websites.

    Cheers

    David

  • @gorilux007

It is not possible to post links in these comments.... google for AFR to lambda

  • hello, i have a question, could you tell me what kind of tps did U use (for which car model)?? i bought ms and want to do such thing as you, but need correct tps such as burlaks have ;)

  • wow, great...can you get me more information about the megasquirt? My 260E runs okay with the KE, but it doesent feel like 166 HP...(wich it got, but...you know ;))

  • Nice vid. I have a couple of questions about your setup.

    1. Are your LPG injectors connected in banks of 3? (LPG bank fire injection)

    2. Do you use additional lpg ecu over Megasquirt?

    3. How much ignition timing advance you apply for lpg compared to gasoline..

I have megasquirted Chevy Camaro. and now going to convert to lpg .

    Thanks

  • Answering your questions:

    1. Nope, LPG injectors are all low impedance and connected in parallel to bank 2 on MS (which is then mapped to table 3 on MSExtra firmware). Petrol injectors are High-Z and connected all in parallel to bank1 which is then mapped to table 1 on MSExtra.

    2. Nope, MS only, download the msextra code and search for table switching in the MSExtra documentation.

    3. I've seen various theories on this and I'm no expert, but 5 degrees works for me.

If you're going LPG, use PRINS

  • Could you take more information. It is very interesting, because ke-jetronic doesn't like LPG

    Sorry for my english :)

  • i'm having a Mercedes Benz 190E (year 1983 ) with a 2 litter engine (122 Hp) and olso i'm running on LPG .

It works but insn't the same performance as using petrol 95 or premium 100.

    Best regards!

  • Idle (Free rpm) ;) was too high because the car was cold when I filmed it.

I removed all the k-jetronic components. Everything is controlled by the megasquirt both LPG and injectors and also ignition coils (wasted-spark).

I haven't measured the power yet. But from what I can remember the car feels more responsive now. But I still have alot of tunning to do.

The next step will be a turbo installation.

  • Why it has free rpm too high ?

Which power it has ke-jetronic+megasquirt+lpg against ke-jetronic+petrol?

    Sorry for my english
