sure wish the churches in my area had choirs. church is so boring now with these corny so called "praise singers". they just dont have that sound like what the choirs had back in the day.
This song is on the We're Gonna Make It album and yes, that's O'landa Draper standing by the organ. We finally retired that dress Myrna's wearing in 2004-ish.
Foot-stomping Gospel...the way it was MEANT to be. This song and everyone's performance is truly an inspiration and a blessing.I am sitting here, grinning from ear to ear - enjoying every moment!! Thank you ChoirMasterTV. This video brings back very good memories. Hallelujah!!
Now THAT"S gospel music!!!!!! Old school gospel that'll make you clap your hands and stomp your feet!!!! I always loved Timothy Wright!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!
When Timothy cut the band towards the end, I like how Billy looked at him like, "uhm.... who's directing? me or you??" lol although the break there was brilliant lol Director, I understand!
My family and I moved to Maryland and joined Refreshing Springs COGIC. We had a few albums from Myrna but had no idea that on our first Sunday there we'd see Myrna leading a few songs. We had no idea she attended there. T.D Jakes former music minister was Steve Lawrence who also taught Youth Choir at RS. I'm blessed to had sat under them.
Look at the power of God all in that church at 4:08... This is the greatest Gospel song of all time in my opinion! The simplest message to follow... Magnify Him! And how do we begin to magnify the Lord or make God bigger.. PRAISE HIM!!!!
: oh, my gosh. this was the joint back in the 80s!!! i remember national convention in atlanta, ga for the church of god by faith and the national choir song this during offering. oh, man! they rocked this song. and they were over 100 members during that time. :
