  • A totally misguided musical. The dancers in the ballroom were Broadway professionals who were way too good and at the end, the audience could not feel for a woman who was committing adultery. And the role was too demanding vocally for Loudon.

  • Very cool. It was shot around Jamaica Avenue/Forest Parkway in the Woodhaven section of Queens.

  • I vaguely remember a movie from the late 70's called the "Queen of the Stardust Ballroom" with Maureen Stapleton. Was this the Broadway version of that movie?

  • @MrMojoRisinII That it was!

  • "50 Percent" got me through a very tough time.

I swore that if I ever met Miss Loudon, I'd thank her. I never got the chance.

I'll thank her in my prayers tonight.:)

  • @TheReturnOfStephan What a sweet idea -- I'm sure God let her know.

  • Terrific commercial. I'm very impressed. It takes a lot of work for those few seconds to portray so much.

  • What is a Ticketron?

  • This is so beautiful! Thank you so much for posting this!!! Dorothy Loudon was a wonder.

  • It really is beautiful, isn't it?
