  • Yepp, I'll pay a bit more just add MIDI...Korg is on the right parh, just make it onto a real analog synth! lol

  • i use my loop station with my monotron ... sounds AMAZING!!!

  • I wouldnt even know this existed if I didnt get a guitar center catalog in the mail. Bought it two days ago. Bad ass. Just like the great old synths from the 70s. Everyone should own one. Its that great.

  • how is power/voltage? if so how many batteries would it use?

  • Terrific! I just ordered one! I'll love this little machine.

I will connect it to a Moog mf-101 midi murf.

In this video, the sound at 1:02, reminds me the Vangelis' song Pulstar!!!

  • definitely reminds me of a stylophone.. cool though.

  • the ribbon adds variety of styles that u can play...u can go solo kinda sliding just like with a guitar..watch the monotron song with stylus..

  • Too much fun. Paid 67 bucks for mine, and it'll be here in a couple weeks. :D

  • I have other true analogue synths with MIDI, I have absolutely no use for the ribbon controller making out of tune music. They should make a £100 or £150 version with no ribbon, a few extra parameters and .....MIDI - there I said it again.

  • The filtering and modulation on this little synth is brilliant. That fact that you can input other audio with the auz, and output back to your DAW / Recording Desk make this a genuinely useful (and cheap) addition to your studio.

There are a couple of mention on MIDI below - As this is true analog, it will only ever output audio, not digital signals!

  • needs midi in/out

  • :D THAT SYNTH is so cuuuute! it's exactly the same size as my korg MA-30 metronome. HAHA WANT WANT

  • sounds very ms/ssm, if it only had midi this would be killer.. or even wlan.. god sake just give me anything else interface than stupid ribbon which makes it totally useless.

  • no midi shit!

  • @blauwolfenduro yeah, so bad! just MIDI!!!!

  • How many Oscillators has it Got!!!!!!! BWA HA HAHAHA!

  • whats the uk release date ?

  • Get rid of the ribbon controller and replace it with a midi in socket, pleeeease!

  • You could build a simple circuit this yourself for a few bucks. The only part that is not easy to get is the ribbon controller.

  • For the price it's nice - though it's seriously lacking envelopes.

  • i hit my wife......she cry for free !!

  • i totally love the sounds! a synthesizer-to-go, great!

  • If its the same pad as the kaossilator, you can play tunes on this with a stylus like you can on the kaossilator.

  • Can you actually play a tune (in tune) with this one, or is it just a fun sound module?

  • sounds like a cat at 5:10 :3

  • @mushk45 False

  • q mierda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They should make an analog drum machine like this.

  • What's the purpose of that?

  • si vale menos de 60€ lo compraré

  • apparently this has the same filter as the ms10/20.

  • I can hardly see the practicality of the ribbon controller, but the filter sounds really great. If you hook up, say a Kaossilator to that thing I guess you'll get some nice analogue sounds out of it. It somehow reminds me of a micro sized EDP wasp.

  • @dudewhosaysarrh I was just thinking gnat myself :-).

  • Going to be fun using this as a filter. When is it released in the US?

  • so when is this gonna be available ??

and what are some other similar products in the same price range??

  • @nutrinoland the only thing i can think of similar is the gakken sx-150 kit. They're about $50. When i say kit i mean you put it together, theres no soldering though.

  • I can see myself circuit benting this with a Gristleism.

I believe this'll be ideal with another module.

  • all of the crappit sounds every from a MS20?

  • that right tthere .. this is the video that has convinced me! i am so getting a few of these ..

  • The fact that is has an AUX-In makes it a real difference against other Sound-toys.

And while it´s neither original nor one-of-kind it´s a a lot of FUN. Prices will drop, too over time.

    :)

  • @FrequencyTestSystem

i had an yamaha PSS ages ago and it had an headphone socket , so same thing.

too bad this hasnt got midi , it has a great ressonance.

    it's just a toy.

  • @FrequencyTestSystem Costs around 55€ at Thomann. It's a steal!

  • @FrequencyTestSystem its already down to $60, it was over a hundred when it first came out. :D

  • @FrequencyTestSystem

"Prices will drop" - WTF? This thing is under a $80. How cheap do you need prices to be? Tight bastard!

  • @FrequencyTestSystem If you know of other analogue synths similar to this functionality and price, what could I look for?

  • u r right, japiethedj, it's possible to make a full retro analog track using it with a DAW and a plug-in sampler - fat bass, bleeps, zaps, screeches, rumbles - anyway, it's the most affordable analog filter around. can't wait to grab one

  • Well, I think you can make very nice Electro sounds with it. And if you copy and paste some sounds, you coud maybe create some fidget..

    I think I'll buy it..

  • Uhh, after hearing this. I don't know, this can scream screeches all right. I'm not sure I'm going to get it. And for 85 dollars, seems like a waste of money. This looks like it has to be around 40 or 50 dollars. Because, I might as well get a kids synth that sounds just as cool and has lots more keys. =/

  • Do you know how much an ms-20 filter clone, alone, goes for? Please do some research on it before judging the product.

  • @MAT0R0 You won't get a kid's synth that sounds this cool. Well, if you do, let me know, because I'll want one too. :-)
