if you can remember, what kind of equipment do you have? i got this on PC and i'm at lvl 10, top equips, and i can't do nearly as much damage as you can...
Hm, as a long time Ys fan (of sorts), I expected you'd always seek the "truth" of things, however, if all you'll do is to label facts and arguments (that is, things that prove one's point) as "spam", then my role here is none.
For once I thought you didn't know there was a proper way to spell "its" name, but you do know, and you are only being stubborn... so sorry for interrupting your daily YouTube business or whatever. =o Suit yourself, I won't bother you anymore. Waste of time for both of us
The "spam" I was refering to, was the identical comment that MP1983 copy and pasted into what I first thought was only 4 different videos, but turned out to be even more.
I didn't say the spam you referred to, but rather the "spam" you LABELED AS, that is, this very comment from MP1983:
"Multiple? Off the top of my head, I only remember seeing "Y's" in the North American and European covers of "Ys: Ancient Ys Vanished Omen" (SMS), and the disc label of "Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys" (PCE) -- both which weren't Falcom's doings. In the games the name is always spelled as "Ys", which is the correct spelling, as you well know."
Finally, there's also something else: "the BrownHairdo guy in blue clothes is refered to in katakana as "Adol Christian" in the hard cover book/manual that is included in the original PC-88 version of Ys."
Have you ever heard the JAPANESE DESCRIPTION of said character in said manual?
In that very manual it says he has BLACK eyes and RED hair, despite the artwork.
That's because anime-ish red hair is shown as brown hair when "converted" to any non-anime-ish style.
... Not to mention Ys I went through SEVERAL changes when compared to the final release and the beta phase. At first there wasn't even supposed to exist the "Silver Equipment". They were called "Mystic Equipment" were something else, plus there were more villages and many other things. That COULD perhaps also explain why Ys I has so many unused soundtracks.
But! Whatever.
You really are stubborn, so I had to explain it all.
You may even delete these comments and/or label them as "spam". So bye
The LE box and dvd case clearly say "Ancient Ys Vanished Ys I (dot) II Eternal Story", but regardless of the official titles(s) of what I recorded from or the many games it represents, in all 4 of your comments, you're saying that I've COMPLETELY mistitled these videos, but they'd be okay if I added a single "/" to the title.
Heh, now they're even more mistitled than before. There's no apostrophe in "Ys" and you know it. Whatever. Name your videos how you like. I just wanted to help, although I may have done it in a harsh manner, which I apologize for, but the truth stays that there's no "Eternal Complete" officially.
The titles of the videos aren't meant to reflect package names. These videos depict content seen in games titled Eternal and Complete (and now Chronicles).
We can say it's not the official spelling, but there's no way it's a series of identical "typos".
As I said, pull out your original copy of the game and look at the disc, you'll clearly see "Y's" not once, but twice, including the hand-drawn/non-font looking logo. I don't see it on the back of the case though.
I'm a fan of Ys I - III + Dawn of Ys and haven't gotten around to VI yet, but haven't ruled it out.
I was just funning around. Nobody's a bigger classic Ys fan than me, but I've noticed a cult of Ys nerd trolls forming in recent years who are always looking for opportunities to "pwn" "noobs".
Particularly jumping down the throats of anyone foolish enough not to know how to pronounce the unusual title of an obscure series that went for years without voice. That and spelling Ys "Y's". It's not like each person decides to add the apostrophe themselves.
I don't know why your other post is marked spam, but the BrownHairdo guy in blue clothes is refered to in katakana as "Adol Christian" in the hard cover book/manual that is included in the original PC-88 version of Ys.
My point is that most series aren't perfectly consistent and there's every reason for people to pick up terms like "Y's" and they're not mistaken, even though it can be argued that those responsible for the "typos" are.
Multiple? Off the top of my head, I only remember seeing "Y's" in the North American and European covers of "Ys: Ancient Ys Vanished Omen" (SMS), and the disc label of "Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys" (PCE) -- both which weren't Falcom's doings. In the games the name is always spelled as "Ys", which is the correct spelling, as you well know.
Anyway, that's pretty much all I wanted to say to you. Do as you see fit, and have a nice day.
The PCEngine version of this boss is prbly the easiest ever. I think it's because of the higher level limit, due to both Ys I and II being one single game on the PCEngine. At level 35 I beat him in 8 seconds. Music is better in the PCEngine version though IMHO, altough sounds effects are much better on the PS2
...voices?

(Damn, this comment appeared on top like I just said it did. Well, whatever, I proved my point on that previously anyway.)
"Falcom's doings"
Now which company created the Ys series? Nihon Falcom Co.
Ys I SMS ---> SEGA
Ys IV PCE --> Hudson
Ys VI label of sorts ---> PS2 label of sorts --> Konami
And you won't see "Eternal Complete" nowhere. =o

Since there's officially no "Eternal Complete" anything, the video should be called "Ys I Eternal / Complete Final Boss" or something like that.

Wow, I can't believe you spammed 4 of my videos.

Multiple Ys games have been titled "Y's".
The titles of the videos aren't meant to reflect package names. These videos depict content seen in games titled Eternal and Complete (and now Chronicles).

No Ys game was ever entitled "Y's". =o Except Ys I SMS when it was LOCALIZED for english population (the original japanese version didn't have it).
It's a typo nonetheless.

Pull out your copy of Dawn of Ys and read the disc.
superpcenginegrafx 2 years ago
I expected you'd pull off that example. =) However you're mistaken, for in Ys IV PCE's box "Y's" is only written in the BACK of the box.
That game itself wasn't entitled "Y's", unlike Ys I SMS' case.
AND... it's a typo nonetheless. Whenever it shows up, I said so above.
Also since you seem to be such a fan yourself, I'll let you know the other place it was misspelt that way.
There's some Ys VI japanese "label" of sorts that was printed with "Y's" written in it, too. =o Perhaps that interests u

BTW, speaking of the original japanese Ys, you do know that Adol's real hair color is brown don't you?

You sure know your "original japanese" stuff, huh? =o Duh.

Is a YouTube bug removing your posts too?
superpcenginegrafx 2 years ago
Not the actual removal of posts, but actually WHERE my posts are... posted.
When I wrote a reply to especifically one of your posts, my post was put on the top of the page instead of below the intended post.
That's the bug. But when I deleted it (only to re-post the EXACT same post), it then appeared where it should have.
Since I don't think you'll actually believe me, I just cancelled their exclusions.
Judging from your (ironically) childish behavior, I think it's the only way.
