As you can see, I've got a 14 foot Tsumani. It is fairly stable with 6" of water in in. I have paddled a half mile or more with that much water and had no problem....you just have to be careful. I learned without a skirt, so I don't really know the difference. My learning-to-roll trick was hanging upside down underwater near the ladder on the dock and learning to right myself using my hand rather than a paddle. Once I learned the technique, the paddle came easy. Good luck!
One additional note: While hanging at the ladder, remember to right the boat first, then comes the torso, and the face should be last out of the water. Keeping the face in the water is easier if you right the boat twice in a row.
omg i cant even roll with a deck yet!

Thanks for answering Msharpan,
I will practice like you told me,
I've seen how you teach kids to play the harmonica, very nice gesture,

And...a skirt is a really good idea, isn't it?

Mr Sharpman,
Thanks for the lesson!
I have some problems when water gets into the kayak while I roll,
It loses much stability,
can you give me some advice? I am a beginner
