  • Man, I really want to visit Iceland. I notice you sign patient for Iceland. What's the connection to that sign and the country?

  • Hi kreiger,

Ah.. I forgot the reason, they did explain while we were over there but now that I can't remember on top of my head. When I do, I will come back and reply to your question. :-D

  • Oh no worries. So it's the Iclandic sign for Iceland?

  • Hi kreiger,

Yep, that's how they sign for Iceland. :-)

    -SG

  • Haha ok. Maybe their so patient because of all the snow and ice? lol

  • @seekgeo The sign for Iceland comes from the sign ice cream.

  • How did you meet so many deaf people? And so many gay deaf people? LOL! Did you already know friends from the internet to meet there?

  • Hey River,

Oh, a friend of mine knew someone from there so she introduced us through emails then I emailed him to meet me and Jes at cafe so we started from there. Then we went to gay bar and got a chance to meet some more deaf people there. :-)

  • Poor Jes with the sprained ankle!

  • I want to travel with you and go to weird places. I love weird places and cannot hardly get anyone to go to them with me. Also, with all the roads, I do not see buildings or towns. What is that about?

  • Hi River,

Well, Jes wanted to go some strange places just to take pictures which I will post on my blog later on when he's done working on them. Many of weird places are out of nowhere!! That's why you don't see any buildings for a long time. LOL

  • Hey, SG!

My father will be going to Iceland for business reasons, and figures that it should be an easy trip.

I showed him your clips on the driving conditions there, and he was concerned about skidding, crashing, and losing traction. Is it icy on the road, or just snowy?

Also, what kind of car did you use/rent for Iceland? Did it run well in these conditions?

  • Hey riccioconroe! :-)

Oh, your father shouldn't worry really cuz this time of the year it's summer, so... mostly all snow are gone now. It's all good.. Whew! lol

These driving conditions that I drove was really we went far away from Reykjavik to check out weird areas which is why they turned out pretty bad. We rented subarau, type of car. Great car except the shift part, kinda different than America.

Your father will enjoy it there for sure! :-D

  • Thank Bunches!!!:)

  • I would love to have been in the car with you on the snow road and made a cracking vibration and sound along the floorboards and made an ominous statement about breaking ice.

  • Hey Cloggie!

LOL.. not only I was sad, I was so tired from long trip, we had like 5 hrs of sleep each day, more or less. Also we sure missed Iceland so it kinda sad leaving, ugh! He he.

  • All that snow reminds me of Michigan, lol, we used to have to drive in that stuff, it's crazy. Sounds like you had a lot of fun. Sorry to hear about Jes's ankle :(

  • aww u left iceland already? :( it is so beautiful weather there, i miss the winter in russia(my homeland lol).. poor jes. hope he will heal fast sooner. put ice, jes! have a fun in boston! hugs, k

  • I am not sure if it is already done but for Jes, I suggest icing your ankle for 20 minutes then take 10 minutes break from icing then repeat for a hour or two. It will really help with the sprained ankle :)
