WOW 7.7 seconds! Thats soo......slow! Is it just me or does edmunds just seem like they get the slowest times. Car and Driver got the old 310 hp touareg at 7.5. Maybe they should stop testing uphill with 600lbs. of passengers and the A/C on full blast. Still a nice looking suv though.

If it only it had slightly better mileage. Good v8 though, good looking, 4wd, good off road. I think its pretty good. I'd buy one over an audi or a porsche because those two are hideous and I think this is more practical and easier to use

@myVW4LIFE @myVW4LIFE I'm not so sure about the "made to last" part. I have an '04 loaded Touareg V8 and I will say that the cost of maintenance is OUTRAGEOUS. Any upscale german car, VW included, is a big bag of problems once it hits 90-100k miles. I don't even have 70k on mine yet and I've already spent a considerable amount. Average MPG... around 10, tires well inflated and car is in proper working condition with no warnings/faults/errors. I will say that I LOVE my car though. L O V E !

Owning two VW Touaregs, one V8 and one V10 TDI, I must say I am really happy with the VW badge. It brings the same engineering as Porsche does for a lower price that I don't mind taking off-road.

You just seem to have a wrong perception about Volkswagen that you really need to get over with. Ever checked the interior design and assembly and compared to a Honda, Toyota, Ford, Chrysler or GM? I am so glad mine is a VW!
