im also a bit stuck on the picture duriation part of it to teehee big slip up or dosnt it really matter coz i think it doz coz im trying to speed it up but i cant lol im a bit usless lol ill try and work it out but for the time being plz help me !!!! ahh
If you change the picture duration to 0.125 before you import all of the frames, it should put them in at 8 frames per second. I don't think it works if you import them first and then change the duration.
wow that was quick thanks !!!!!!!!!! do u know how to make mouths move by any chance it seems very hard to me and do u take photos for ur film or do u use a film camera ? and where did u get the irena hair from it is coolio !!!!! thanks from little orange gecko
I'm not certain on the mouths, but I think if you edit each frame in paint, it should work. So when their mouths are closed, just leave the picture the way it is, but if you want them to talk, draw an open mouth over their closed mouth.
I got Irena's hair from an old Pod Racer set from I think 1998 or 1999.
I use a Logitech Quickcam Webcam for filming, so it saves the photos right to Animator DV Simple +.
thanks for helping me speed things up on my man walking across the screen !!! but what is a tag and my walking man is no where to be seen on you tube it wont even show up on my page please can u help me again lol thank u from little orange gecko
A tag helps people find your video. If someone types any of your tags into the search bar, your video will come up. If you look at the tags for this Indiana Jones animation, they are:
animation art indiana jones kingdom of the crystal skull lego legomation based on book james rollins mutt irina spalko.
hiya its me sorry it took me so long to repl but i have just gone back to schoo and i am getting way to much homework . i have finished my walking man and i am trying to learn how to speed it up on windows movie maker and i cant seem to download it ether and what is a tag can i ask coz even though im 13 they dont teach us how to make films at school plz help me bye = )
I'm glad to hear you created your first animation! :)
Windows Movie Maker works, but it's better for editing than actually compiling the frames. To do it easily in Windows Movie Maker, go to Tools>Options and change the picture duration to 0.125. That is 8 frames per second.
A better way to compile the frames is to download Animator DV Simple + or Monkeyjam. (Both are free.) I'll send you the links in a private message. My animation tutorial will show where to download Animator DV Simple+
thank u but in england where i live we dont hav walmart boo !!!! = ( but we do hav toys r us yey !!!!!! = ) but i think i will just wait till christmas and get my parents to get me some !! wat is a brilliant and well thought out plan if u ask me lol and i will hav £40 to £30 pounds worth or money to spends yes !!!!!!!!! thank u and i need some ideas for a video plz can u help plz thank u !!!!!!! from little orange gecko
For you're first video, I suggest doing something simple such as a guy walking across the screen. (It sounds kind of boring, but it's easy.) Fight movies are popular, but there are a bunch of those on YouTube already. (and they can be kind of tough if you get into hand to hand combat.)
I might post a tutorial on animating for you soon.
is it hard getting all the lego what is needed ? coz im thinkin of making a video and im finding it very hard because i dont have any base plates and my brothers mate wont let me borrow any !!! and i dont have many bricks coz my brother uses them for armys like he has this game when he gets all his lego star wars figures and gets them to fight in this sort of cage thingy i dont fully understand it to be honest so most of the bricks go into that ? how did u get that much lego !!!!! = ) thanks !
I've collected most of my Legos over the years, but you don't need many to be able to animate. Most places such as Walmart and Toys R Us have tons of lego sets. They have boxes of just basic pieces, or you can get specific sets such as Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Agents, etc. The baseplates are usually about $7-$10.
It's also fun to animate with clay. It's cheaper, but a little bit harder. I use Van Aken and my only complaint is that the clay stains my hands and desk.
hi its me again the person that comented about ur silly putty hair i watched it again and indy shut the door behind him lol how polite but really it was for his enemys not to follow him and it didnt really work lol and how do u make ur characters legs and arms move its really coolio
This is stop-motion animation, so it's a whole bunch of pictures. Every single movement is another picture, so to make the arms and legs move, you just move them, take a picture, move them, take a picture, etc.
I bought one, but my voice fits very few or none of the character's voices. I also have tried using text to speech programs, but their voices are way too dull. Lol.
sucks:( sorry

I would add voices instead of putting them in subtitles... other than that i like the smoothness of the movement!

Thanks! I wanted to add voices, but my voice doesn't fit the character's voices.

Nice work! But it would be better if you voice acted the minifigs.
theteenmakesmovies 3 years ago
Thank you! Yeah, I wanted to voice act them, but my voice fits either none or very few of the characters.
SAGEmovieproductions 3 years ago
I think it would be funny if you used the speech program.
HEIGHTSIXFIVE 3 years ago
Thank you, but they use the most boring voice you can imagine. Lol.
SAGEmovieproductions 3 years ago
I don't want to buy all of those sets, and my voice doesn't fit the characters.
SAGEmovieproductions 3 years ago
why dont you buy a microphone? You can get one at walmart for about 5 bucks!

SAGEmovieproductions 3 years ago
Oh thats why!try to deepen your voice! Are you a girl or a boy?
samisummer97 3 years ago
Deepening my voice is fairly easy, but still, my voice wouldn't fit the characters. Lol.

Lol. Thanks. Indy actally closed the door to keep the enemy from following (which clearly didn't work. Lol.)

Awsome, how did you find the time to do this, on your next video you should make the text easier to read.
Have1Bagel 3 years ago
Yeah, it did take a long time to make. You are right about the text being hard to read. I find that the pink text is especially hard.
