I smelt this at Macy's and immediately fell in love!!! I've been looking for a fragrance to blow me away and after purchasing over 55 different bottles of everything both new and old out there, I came across this and I wear it religiously!!!! Finally, my signature scent!!! Definitely a must have!!!
@jnthnnixon Yes! This scent has a beautiful sweet citrus and woody notes. For a summer scent, it's very complex and a bit mature but it's absolutely perfect!
The question was what your thoughts are about its character regarding gender.
It's not that I wouldn't wear not traditionally masculine fragrances (I own among others Dior's Eau Noir, Jo Malone's Wild Fig and Gucci PH II) but I think the latest John Varavatos, which let me repeat smells great, has very little to differentiate it from a traditionally feminine neroli fragrance.
It maybe a little more fem than his first two scents. It is definitely a fresher scent. I think anybody could where Artisan. I think it smells better than his women's fragrance. That one bored me to tears.
Artisan to me smells really beautiful and natural but I feel, in contrast to Varvatos' previous offerings, it is not masculine enough. It literally smells like orange tree blossoms and that's a traditionally feminine fragrance note.
When the next guy here in Europe wears Azzaro pour homme this fragrance make you smell like his girlfriend.
I first heard/smelled Artisan in the latest Vanity Fair magazine. The second I smelled it, I thought "Wow, I have to have this." I bought it off of their main website. It's not cheap. The large bottle (which should last a LONG time,) cost me $75.00. However, you can google around and find a 20% off coupon for the website, and also there's free shipping.
i was wondering when you were going to get to this one I just discovered varvatos this year and probably won't were anything else. which do you like better vintage or original?
I have no idea how many fragrances I have. I have not done a review of all of them that's for sure. Some of what I have are discontinued so I would probably not review those.
Which would you choose between the 1st one and VIntage. Im leaning toawrds the 1st one because I found Vintage to be somewhat sweet, but that was on a scent strip and not my skin. Your thoughts?
You need to try both on the skin. Spray one on one am and one on the other. They are both have lost of possibilities once sprayed on you. Make sure you spray it on your arm and not your shirt sleeve. I lean more towards Vintage. Maybe it is because I am sweet. LOL!!!
Great review!

Yeah, it's light, and doesn't last too long.
Would I buy it again? Most definitely.

I have a great stylist here in Denver. He does amazing work with texture in hair.
I am curious to know what you thought of the new Prada Infusion after wearing it a few times.
Take care!

Thanks for the review Patrick. Are these fragrances anything like Cartiers Santos or Pasha?

Vintage is closer to Pasha. Neither one is as powerful as Santos though.
