Ovation is a company that makes solely acoustic guitars with unique design features, such as a bowl shaped back and differently placed soundholes. Most guitarists can recognize one from a mile away, if it's the right model. Second, shredding is a guitar technique that features extremely high speed playing. So he is shredding. Tapping techniques don't work as well on an acoustic guitar, so he has to strum, but he is.

I honestly don't see a problem with this piece, I think the softer sound of the guitar goes well with the orchestra. There's so much harsh criticism on here, if you're such an expert then please upload your video of yourself playing with an orchestra. Majority of negative criticism comes from those you haven't got the talent or can't be arsed trying but are more than happy to put down those that have made something of themselves.

This is a beautiful song, yngwie's erratic style every now and then makes it even more enjoyable.

Too bad his guitar sound is so messed up on this one, i think it's a combination of poor miking (it pops shut on the hard attacks), compression on top of that and just poor tonal control, too much mid and low range, it doesn't breath like it should.

It sounds a bit better on the DVD though.
