  • I kinda want this and am curious as to the costs.

I would rather not have the motor visible, and even better - in the seat and as removable, because then it won't get stolen so quickly.

I want to use my bike to commute, but for example right now I must take a break from cycling due to an exercise injury, and it doesn't allow me to rely so strongly on my bicycle for commuting.

the sound seems kind of annoying, though.

  • What the shit... "the recreational cyclist can avoid strenuous activity"

isn't that what bicycling is meant to do? exercise? Why not just ride a moped, if we're trying to avoid exercise?

  • Another thing, combined claimed weight is ONLY 1900 grams! With some pro riders opting not to wear Livestrong bands just to save weight, do you think a pro rider of the likes of Fabian would want to lug that crap along? The motor alone weighs the same if not more than most high-end frames! I think not.

  • I don't know about you but it sounds an awful lot like Klaus the talking fish on American Dad. All kidding aside, only a tviggy veekling vud rhide vit such a ting. You might as well relinquish your balls and your USAC license at the nearest LBS and ride an e-bike rather than be the ultimate poseur that rides with one of these things.

  • It also provides added motivation for manual pedaling, as it will sound like you're constantly being chased by German bees

  • Do you mean to tell me no one is going to hear that thing whining in a peloton and wonder what's going on? People complain if somebody's chain squeaks!

  • lol. Under investigation from whom ClownFight? Per velonews two weeks ago: "The UCI confirmed that there was no case against the Swiss rider. And the UCI’s technical chief, Jean Wauthier, told the Belgian daily newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws that it was unlikely Cancellara would use any kind of motor."

The UCI is not investigating. There is nothing to investigate. They do not have the bike. I think you like to hear yourself talk.

  • Like a Cancellara! :-)

  • Gee can't even hear it!

  • Para pendejos...

  • the answer is... why?

  • its the accent that sells it. it impresses with its low weight. and the extreme lengths we go to be lazy.

  • CheaterAssist!

  • Yeah, where did he hide the battery? Up his.......? How about the push-button to start the motor?

  • As used by Fabian Cancellara.

  • @ClownFight LOL, you really believe everything you see on the internet don't you. Please stab yourself in the chest.

  • @JTMarlin8 "believe everything you see on the internet?" So does the UCI and the italian authorities that are investigating the allegations of Cancellara's electric assist. Turns out that you are the gullible one

  • @ClownFight LOL, "investigating". Could you not hear how loud the damn thing is? Like I said, please take your own life. It's completely worthless.

  • @JTMarlin8. Have you ever ridden on the cobbles? Have you ever been to a bike race? The noise of the Gruber assist would be completely drowned out by the other noises. Even allowing for the fact that you are a stupid American, your comments are particularly retarded. I apologize if you are genuinely mentally impaired but please consider the damage you are doing to your country's already poor reputation as a continent of idiots.

  • @ClownFight Moron, the high pitched whine of a brushed DC gear motor is at a much higher frequency than the rattling sound of bikes through the cobbles. The motor noise easily pierces through. Besides, you're making the idiotic assumption that the Paris-Roubaix is 100% cobbles, and rour anti-American statements shows you're too stupid to think of logical retorts. Please take your convoluted logic and idiotic mentality with you into your grave, ASAP.

  • @JTMarlin8 Retard. So you confirm you've never actually been to a spring classic bike race by making such retarded assumptions. The motor does not run ALL THE TIME fool. It has a switch under the right brake hood and it's used for about 10 seconds at a time. The sound of the crowd screaming at Cancellara will drown out a Jumbo jet.

Honestly, could you be the dumbest man alive? How did America manage to pollute their gene pool so badly as to create cretins like you?

  • @ClownFight LOL, it's useless trying to argue with a moron like yourself who doesn't understand physics. Even if your idiotic logic made any sense (which it doesn't), all it would prove is that motorized doping is possible. Doesn't say anything about Cancellara. If you have a problem with a big Italian guy born in Switzerland winning a French bike race, you clearly have personal problems far beyond repair. Just end your life now, please. Do it for yourself and your shamed family.

  • @JTMarlin8 Cancellara and his team are under investigation from people who, like me, know what they're talking about. People like you on the other hand, trawl the internet looking to splash your mentally impaired opinion on things you clearly know nothing about. This investigation is happening in the 'real world' where you are considered a complete idiot by virtue of your nationality, which you've managed to reinforce with your idiotic ramblings.

  • @ClownFight LOL, we'll see how the "investigation" goes then!

Let me ask you one thing. Don't you hate being wrong all the time? Until you accept this reality and make an effort to change, you will continue to be a braindead peasant. Good luck with that.

  • @JTMarlin8 ... That's it? That's all you've got? "LOL, we'll see how the investigation goes then!" Oooooh, yes, let's see. The fact that it's happening in at least two separate national and international jurisdictions makes it real. How can you, a chronic internet pr0n masturbator, blow this off as preposterous when the grown ups and mentally capable are taking it very seriously? How? Because you're retarded that's how.

The Grüber assist is brilliant btw, brilliant enough to actually do this.

  • @ClownFight Nobody's taking this seriously, genius. Nobody. Except you.

  • @JTMarlin8 ROME (AP)—An Italian prosecutor has opened an investigation into allegations of so-called mechanical doping—or motorized bikes that could help cyclists cheat. The ANSA news agency reported that the Turin-based prosecutor had opened a sporting fraud investigation. Guariniello has previously led several high-profile probes on doping. Former professional cyclist Davide Cassani’s reports for Italian TV have fueled speculation that mechanical doping could rival drugs.

    Just me then.

  • @ClownFight LOL, some loser prosecutor, not affiliated with the UCI, sticks his nose in. Hardly what I'd consider a serious investigation. He won't get Cancellara and he'll come out empty handed, because nobody in the peloton is motor doping. You can try arguing all you want, the fact is I'll be right.

BTW, why aren't you dead yet?

  • @JTMarlin8 Sorry little fella, I'm only exchanging comments with the grown-ups. Does your mommy know you're using her computer?

  • @ClownFight Great retort. Typical response from someone who's run out of valid arguments (or this guess, never had any to begin with). Like I said, we'll wait and see who's right.

  • you might as well do away with your bicycle and buy instead a motorcycle.

  • LOL XD the horror on the face in 0:20-0:23 :D

  • @HostageChicken hahahahahahahahahhahahahahaha
