Make Firefox much Faster About:Config Tutorial

I had done this a while ago and for some reason the numbers had gone back to default. I guess it happen when I did some Firefox upgrades. I had notice lately it was a little slow so when i saw your video I went back into about:config and that's when I notice they had gone to default. Everything is back up and working fast. Thanks

You can always press ctrl t to just open tabs and firefox will always re-open them. It seems the only thing the tab mixer does is keep the scroll position.

the more you download things the more your system will slow..(and your firefox browser will be affected)...

i recommend to do this settings ....>> just set the pipelining.maxrequest to 30 and make pipelining set it to true......

and if your system will still run slow/...... just disk cleanup your disks......( start menu >>>all programs >>> accessories>>> system tools>>>>disk cleanup.... check all boxes!...

really, you should be more careful about pipelining values. setting max connections is silly, because it cannot actually go any higher than 8. Even then, sometimes web page corruption can occur.

for speed, go for 8.

for stability, go for 4.

I have just done this and the speed is still poor compared to IE6 that I have been using for 10 years. These mods don't seem to have changed my SlowFox browser as I now call it.

"Compact Menu 2" displays a single icon with a Vertical Menu of Menus for the entire File Edit View Etc menu. Can also exclude any menus not wanted. Like it better than Tiny or Personal Menu. Plus you can use any icon image of your choice (super easy addon).
