WOW! You think RR is a better coach. What do you base that on? Wins and losses, natl championships, players in NFL, graduation rates. We will have to wait and see what RR does. Needless to say I think you are way off . But if RR is a better coach, he'll have better results than Carr, that means 6 or 7 B10 titles, 2 na'tl championships, 2 Heisman winners..etc. I don't know the graduation rate. I like and support RR, but we  have to wait. I wish him the best

@mostlynoble He's got one candidate in Denard Robinson... not saying this year but Robinson has TWO MORE YEARS to improve before he graduates. That's a scary thought for the boys in scarlet and gray for sure.

Rich Rod had a national championship contending team in 2007 (the year he left). The 2007 WVU team is widely considered the best team in the country that year, after missing the BCS National Championship game, but redeeming themselves by womping Oklahoma by 20 points.

this game sticks out in my head because, Carr got these guys into shape. Things just came together. No one new Manningham, Woodley, Branch and Burgess were that good. David harris wasnt in the video much but he was a monster. I love Lloyd Carr, but he had alot of 5 star caliber guys who did not pan out..

Carr always had great athletes and couldn't come up with the big wins. That's because he wasn't aggressive and played not to lose instead of playing for the win.

Michigan under Carr played their game and refused to make adjustments ingame.

That won't happen under RichRod. When Michigan loses it will be because they got beat by a superior team, not because of coaching. Couldn't say that about Carr.

I like Carr. But his philosphy was not how you win National Titles in the BCS era.

I think Carr was agressive. I hope you are right about how things will work out in the RR era. I support the guy, but I am not convinced. RR has lost games due to coaching. I am thinking specifically of the WVU loss to Pitt, WVU had way more talent. That would have put them in BCS championship game. But I digress. I support him, and his changes, but I enjoyed Carr. Fans forget that we started '06 10-0. Carr did when a championship. I dont want fans to forget his contribution to the program.

They lost to Pitt because White got hurt and couldn't play the rest of the game. If he does, WVU plays for the National Championship.

10-0 starts are nice if you're not elite. If you're elite you're judged on how you finish. Beat Ohio State and win your bowl game. They lost in the Shoe and got smacked by the Trojans that year. That's all people remember, as they should.

Carr was a good coach, but RichRod is better.

I missed the entire first half from this game, but when I saw 34-7 on my phone, it was too much, especially being surrounded by ND fans. It was the same shock I felt when we were done 21-0. Main difference, we actually made a game of it.
