  • Donna: I think all three of you are witches.

Esther: Who are you calling witch, WITCH?

Esther: She (Donna) had the nerve to call us witches.

Fred: And she is right, you all are witches and you married your husbands and turned them into frogs.

    ROTFLMAO!!

  • @digitalceo95 Yeah like you're the only relative I like primo! Eventhough ju don' speak the ingles very good! lol frickin panamanians everywhere! where's the tea baggers when you need em? lol jajajaja

  • Fred: I knew it, I knew it..and

Fred: You knew it you planed it.

Lamont: Now look Pop don't be jumping to no concultion.

Fred: All I'm jumping to is upside your head.

Fred: Now look here Reverend you didn't preach no Marriage.

Fred: But stick around you can preach the Funeral.

  • @Astraldragon1 That was the funny part of the whyole episode when Fred puts it all together, lol! Fred didn't get those gray hairs from being dumb, lol

  • funny as hell when lamont spit his drink out

  • Fred: Ain't no one in my family looks like either one of yall, now get the hell out of here. To funny LMAO

  • And she was right ... You three ugly witches LOL

  • @panamaniak You've got a point there. I think their age difference might have been a problem for Elizabeth's family also. I probably analyze it too much myself. LOL! One of the funniest episodes to me is when Esther and Fred were going to beat up Grip for lying about him and Elizabeth spending the night together. Too funny!!!

  • Lamont really pissed me off in this episode. I'm glad he finally learned to like Donna after a few seasons.

  • FRED SANFORD THE WRATH OF GOD WILL STRIKE YOU DOWN!!!!

  • This is one of my very favorite scenes. MEET THE FAMILY!! THAT'S WHAT I CALL IT. Come on Easter is not gonna hurt you. Why don't u get married in a church. LOL!!

  • This is one of my very favorite scenes. MEET THE FAMILY!! THAT'S WHAT I CALL IT.

  • ware will you be when the knock comes sister. LMAO

  • "The wrath of God will strike you down!"

"And this Louisville Slugger will knock you out!!"

  • "Put that bottle down, Woodrow! Don't let me have to knock you out!"

"Woodrow, put that bottle down before I unscrew your wrist."

  • "Put that bottle down, Woodrow! Don't let me have to knock you out!"

  • "Come on honey Esther ain't gone hurt ya".....lol! Aunt Esther sounds like a mob enforcer, lol!

  • There is no way that I would have gone in the kitchen or anywhere else with three old war horses.

  • is it Rev. Tremble or Rev. Trumble? Sometimes its hard to be sure.

  • @GenaWindstarr It's Tremble

  • @rshandy Reverend Tremble was none other than Amos Andy and the Kingfish's cab driving friend on the Amos and Andy show.

  • Comment removed

  • @drlove1972 I know. I wrote: Amos Andy and the Kingfish's friend. I should have put a comma after the name Amos so that it wouldn't look like one name.

  • Just how many sisters did Elizabeth have? Ethel and Esther I know. But on the episode where Uncle Woody was getting advice from Grady, Minnie and Flossie where also mentioned as being "sisters". Then there's Hazel and Rosetta, neither of whom are Fred's sisters. I think I analyze S&S too much, lol!

  • @panamaniak Hey stranger....how's everything going? I had never noticed that but they did give Elizabeth a lot of sisters over the years...didn't even seem to bother researching the old characters.

  • @ekocentric Lol! Hey! Yeah she did have a lot of sisters! And somehow they all found their way from Detroit(remember that's where Fred said Esther's family was originally from) to St.Louis then LA,lol!

  • @panamaniak I loved the episode where "Big Money Gripp" found out that he had slept with Esther instead of Elizabeth? lol

  • @panamaniak Well lets see. Probably in this order Esther, Ethel, Hazel, Flossie, Minnie, Rosetta, and Elizabeth. That's probably how I would have put them in order. In later episodes, Esther used to always refer to Elizabeth as her "baby sister". So I'd say 7 sisters in all. :) Just think how it would have been if they'd have shown all them together at once!!! LOL!

  • @oldshowfanatic77 Lol! Yeah that's probably how it is. Plus I think (maybe) one of the reasons Elizabeth's family didn't like Fred was the age difference. I think on "Pops And Pals" episode Fred mentioned to Lamont in order for he and Lamont to be closer in age he would have had to marry Elizabeth when he was 7 years old. And she wasn't even born yet! I think I analyze S&S too much, lol!

  • LET ME AT HER HER BEHIND IS MINE. HAHAHAHAHA

  • the look ester gives widrow is PRICELESS

  • @SuperRobbie1976 It's scary too. Reminds me of an old Walt Disney tune: "never smile at a crocodile."

  • widrow put that bottle down befor i unscrew your wrists hahahaha

  • @SuperRobbie1976 Do you remember the time that Esther told someone that she was going to unscrew their arm, beat their but with it and put it back on?

  • @ekocentric i used to watch as a little kid LMAO.

  • @ekocentric yes i do hilariour

  • Man O Man,I don't blame Donna one bit for walking out. I'm surprised she EVER came back to Fred after meeting those " 3 Witches"!!!

  • Ha, ha, finally. I have watched all but two episodes, and finally I found one where Fred mentions Gardena! 6:40

  • I feel you Brotha Robert, I never seen her live, but I listened to a few of her albums, so that's why I was recommending the brothas and sistas to check the albums out. But be aware I was also told that Redd Fox shows was not as good as the albums.Lets face it they were doing a lot of drugs back then so who really knows. PEACE

  • THAT IS NOT UNCLE WOODY! WHAT THE HELL?!

  • For any of you brothas and sistas who are fans of Aunt Esther, then check out LaWanda Page live I mean this sista is raw lol. She'll make these today female comedians look like kids cracking jokes.

  • @ABEEKUOFAFRICA I have seen LaWanda Page live and she is not worth seeing. I was hoping for comedy after being a fan of hers on 'Sanford And Son' and was totally disappointed. She does a VERY BAD JOB LIVE.

  • THIS EPISODE IS HILARIOUS

  • I can't even stand to look at Lamont in this episode...ugh...

  • " Now look here Reverend; you didn't preach no marriage, but stick around, you can preach the funeral". Hilarious!!!

  • Lamont was no good.

  • @meLLemeL83 He had his momonets,Didn't he??

  • her behind is mine!! LMAO

  • Esther is off the damn hook

  • they were the funniest duo in history lmfao!!! this is by far the BEST sanford and son episode ever. part three is the climax lololol comedic genius

  • Lol!!! Esther handled Woodrow like a rag doll!!!!

  • "the wrath of God will strike you down"

"this louisville slugger will knock you out!!!"

Fred and Esther were the best at insulting each other

  • Aunt Esther is fierce!!

  • Reverend Trimble used to be Andy on the Amos and Andy radio and television show. (Not to be confused with George Stevens (kingfish) the main character.

  • This is one gruesome family. They would be a deterrence for me.

  • "Edgar, how'd you like me to rub this across yo lips?"

  • "her behind is mine..."

  • I really didn't like that Woodrow, I like the other one who played Ned the wino on Good Times.

  • Lamont was so wrong for that!-LOL This was one of my favorite episodes! Esther is hilarious!

  • @upclose22 Well,as the series progressed we saw that Lamont was not above pettiness. He had his faults,But over all,Like his father was an O.K Guy!!

  • @Nickcat5 Their petty jealousies and butting in each others personal lives you would think that they were married to each other.

  • When Fred chases Lamont with the bat, he accidentally knocks the top off of the prop cake.

  • Donna is so nice and those old Bitties do nothing but cause problems!!

  • lol aunt esther funny as hell and so is fred jokes for days

  • I wonder why they didn't stay with the role of Esther being domineering over Woody throughout the series. That would have made even more laughs!

  • And she was right...you three ugly witches...and you married your husbands, and turned 'em into frogs! lol

  • People,, THIS IS A COMEDY!! all the flaws u guys are pointin out is for Comedic Purposes LOL

  • @Dreambro1 We know that,all in fun!!

  • Who does Esther think she is talking to donna like that?! she sure as hell don't sound very christian to me!!

  • hahahahhahahahahahhahaha

  • It's not that we dont wanna toast ya......*squak*

  • Lamont was a buster.

  • "Woodrow ... you came here with teeth. Do you wanna leave with teeth?"

    LMAO!!!

  • @BigMrGXXX1 He (Woody) had to have been drunk when he married Esther!!!

  • @BigMrGXXX1 Classic!!! Aunt Esther was my fav, " Put that bottle down before I unscreww your wrist!!! LMAO

  • @BigMrGXXX1 I looooooved Esther

  • Another comment from me, Lamont seems to make Donna out to be some snob.

  • sorry markdres126721 i ment to put a thumbs up because i agree lamont was very selfish. and this is one episode where i really couldn't stand esther.

  • "Esther sticking her tongue out at Donna," That really showing that she had some class alright?"

(sarcasm) Sticking tongue out at someone is really a low class thing to do.

  • was this esther 's first episode on sanford and son

  • No, the first episode with Esther was "The Big Party".

  • @xiotil I believe so.

  • that dam esther and fred. hahhahaha.

  • This was a very good show

    RIP in Fred

Woodro you came with teeth do you want to leave with teeth (lol) :)

  • Comment removed

  • i like the old woodrow better

  • Me too.

  • Woodrow, put that bottle down before i unscrew your rist

  • yall three ugly witches and you married your husbands and turned them into frogs lmao god damn this show is funny

  • Lamont is to grown and funky to still be living at home,he should have been kicked out long long ago..i cant stand him, because he talks to fred like shit and he is very disrespectful.....he a bum..

  • This is a comedy you fool.

  • who you calling fool suckaaaaaaa lol

  • He tried several times to move out, but Fred always worked on making Lamont feel guilty about doing so, remember? :)

  • Listen to the way Esther speaks to her husband. Wow, I'll never know how any man can withstand that.

  • this show is good but is all so the reason I don't like Lamont.. in the early episodes...if Fred wishes to re-marry that is his right...Lamont may not have to like it..but it is not his business either...no law say you can only marry when your young.

  • "Her behind is mine!!!" and Lamont spits out his drink laughing!! LOL

  • lol i love fred and esther. they were friends in real life, she's the only one he would have play that part. both were stand up comedians :D those two made the show magic when both were in the same room

  • 3 ugly witches

  • There should've been an episode where Fred gets married again to Donna only this time he has Bubba, Skillet, Leroy and Grady kidnap Lamont and have him tied up and gagged somewhere naked to prevent him from ruining the festivities. LOL!

  • MacDance71, I agree with you . Fred should just knock him out for a while then get married.

  • I would LOVE 2 star in the new version of Deep Throat with Lamont.

  • 4 Esther 2 be such a God fearing woman, she was always acting like the devil. I know a lot of women with a mouth like that who boss their husbands around. That's really pathetic. Lamont was jealous of Fred because he found his special lady, and he was alone.

  • I agree 100 percent!!!!

  • I've got one thing to say to Esther and her friends. "You are all a bunch of satan-worshipping heathens!!"

  • In this episode, Aunt Esther is as sweet as a rattle snake with the manners of a jackass.

  • lmao that knock at the door was the best! did you see that flower shaken on her hat? hahaha funny stuff!

  • I wished they would have.. she makes me sick. I think she feels she better than everybody.

  • Aunt Esther, Minnie and Flossie were gonna jack Donna up. LOL!!!

  • I like the other Woodrow better then this one. Plus The other Woodrow was on GoodTimes as Ned the Wino

  • LOL!!!!!

  • Get a load of those three old war horses!! It's always the demons who call God's name the loudest. Guilty by non association.

They remind me of the three witches on the cartoon Sabrina the teen age witch....Agatha, Hagatha and magatha.

  • that's cleon's mother from good times

  • lol @ macdance71 Fred brought the Ripple...them heffa's was happy !

  • You got that right angel! Remember how one of those girls reacted at the smell of the onion stew? It was like she was having convulsions or something! LOL!

  • Donna was alot more Pretty than those old 3 hags, Esther is very funny though

  • Donna is better than me. I would have cussed ALL of those old hags off, lol.

  • Ester: "Fred Sanford, the wrath of God shall strike you down!"

Fred: "And this Louisville Slugger shall knock you out!"

Funniest line in the episode!! LOL

  • "Her behind is mine!" One of the best episodes ever!

  • "Where will you be when the knock comes sister"? Classic show! Halarious

  • never realised what a selfish jerk Lamont is, get your lazy ass outthe house! Invite Esther to my wedding u get 5 of these across your lips!

  • I wish Fred bashed Lamont upside his head for ruining his wedding. They should have shown Fred shoving that wedding cake down Lamont's throat! LOL! Fred got payback with Lamont in a later episode when he crashed Lamont and Rollo's party when they were trying to entertain those two girls from Detroit. LOL!

  • mannnn aunt esther is the truth!!

  • @macdance71 That was Redd's last episode that season. He left the show (contract dispute or fatigue, depending on who you believe) and was replaced by Grady (Whitman Mayo).

  • Rev. Trimble: "What's going on Fred? People are running out of here like there was a riot going on!" Classic line!

  • I loved how when Donna was going to get up and the three aunts made her sit back down! And when Donna called them three witches, she know she wanted to call them bitches! LOL!

  • Lamont's aunts were gonna jack Donna up! LOL!! If they got a hold of Donna, that beautiful blue wedding dress would've been torn to shreds. LOL!

  • Holy shit lol...Esther knocks this episode out of the park!

  • Woodrow "Put that bottle down before I unscrew your wrist"!

  • "You came here with teeth...do you wanna leave here with teeth?"

  • Lamont Sanford don't know, that he's about to star in a new version of "Deep Throat"! ROTFLMAO

classic line at the end of the show!

  • Woodrow is not the same guy.. He looks like my Uncle Alvin

  • that was the best line!!!!!!! That was so my grandmother

  • I love when Fred hits the fake cake with the baseball bat and knocks off the top lol

  • That's twice that Reverend Tremble didn't perform a wedding. First it was Lamont getting left at the altar, now he breaks up Fred and Donna's plans with help from Aunt Esther and company. This was a different Woodrow than the one that began appearing as her husband later. But they were in The Big Party together, but not on camera. He was the guest who asked to use the restroom upstairs. Fred said they made arrangements with the local gas station.

  • what did esther say after she said let me at her?

  • her behind is mine

  • her behind is mine

  • woodrow put that bottle down before i unsrew yo wrist

  • I love every scene with Esther. Everything she says is absolutely hilarious!!!

  • boy if the epidode doesnt have esther in it than i dont like it

  • she is so funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Loved the part where Donna called Aunt Esther and her sisters witches and then when Fred told them that they married their husbands and turned them into frogs.

I also liked the part where Aunt Esther told Donna that her own family had class and then stuck out her tongue at Donna. Hilarious!!

  • THE funniest show I've ever seen in my life! Especially the first three seasons!

  • Put that bottle down before I unscrew your wrist....That's the funniest!

  • Yes...It is the funniest part!!!

  • The irony LOL @2:22 Esther says come on honey, Esther ain't gon' hurt cha...yet at 4:18 she says HER BEHIND IS MINE! LMAO

  • LOL!

  • Lol Fred cleaned house. Very funny stuff.
