I have this on 8-track and will soon upload it playing on the Qatron Stereo-48 in front of the camera...as soon as I get another camera. Al is great and I really think Beck stole his voice.
I saw Al Stewart @ Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wi. back in 1992. It came as such a wonderful surprise given I had no idea who was on the entertainment venue upon entering the grounds. Al was playing this song as I arrived @ his stage. Unfortunately for me, it was his encore song & he left the stage afterwards. To this day I consider Al Stewart an incredibly unique & underrated artist during his tenure & to this day....a beautiful song indeed! Thank you for the upload
Saw Al Stewart live in a small club in Seattle a number of years ago. What a fantastic evening! His sax player stole the show! I'd give anything to be able to experience music like that again.
One of the last songs played on Radio Caroline by Nigel Harris and Steve Conway on the 19th of August 1989, one of the darkest days for freedom in the UK! :(
The awesome sax solo still gives me goosebumps though...
i'd put her on stage for a bj

Al recorded a custom version for the old WMET-FM radio, in Chicago. Studio version hit #29 in Billboard, 3-3-79. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!
