@rskopec7 being a pastor makes him qualified for nothing. We consult modern day experts on everything from heath, mental health, technology. The only thing keeping religion going is the need men of the cloth have to make a living- and in lots of cases make themselves politicians- we are way past this as a develped race- the age of Huckabees is coming to and end
@rskopec7 so everyone who does good in elections is a good choice? My point is that relgions has no place in grown up discussion of government, medicine education within the public system or any part of the legal world- keep fairytales where they belong- at home (and in childhood)
"When I was in college, we used to take a popcorn popper, because that was the only thing they would let us use in the dorm, and we would fry squirrels in a popcorn popper in the dorm room." - Mike Huckabee, the easily led retarded presidential candidate.
Because he's a hypocrite. He says something is wrong(running the ad) and so he decides not to run the ad but then proceeds to show it to reporters who would no doubt spread it. It's dishonest and he should be ashamed. He calls himself a christian with all the moral certainty to back it but acts otherwise.
Huckabee is not a christian. Jesus says love your enemies. Huck says kill them. Christians believe in the just-war-theory, only attack when your attacked, defend yourself, dont be agressors. Huck is running for George Bush's third term.
I think it's funny how every single Ron Paul comment gets a good thumbs up and all Huckabee comments get thumbs down. All I hear Paul supporters say is that Huckabee sucks, let me hear about some good stuff about the guy for once. So far, I'm for Huckabee.
That's ok. We all laugh at the press everyday! Look how off they were about Hillary's win in New Hampshire. They're all in mindless lockstep with one another. Pathetic.
I guess the voters of Iowa didn't laugh. Ron Paul turned out to be one of the biggest jokes of the campaign. He'll do even worse in NH. Then on to South Carolina, another Huckabee state. Ron Paul's own state doesn't even support him. 60% of Democratic Arkansas supports Huckabee. Ron Paul needs to step down and stop diluting the republican vote.
Ron Paul is the only sane candidate who is offering Americans a genuine choice for the future of your country. Of course he wont get elected. Americans are no longer sane!
War mongering, bigotted, fundamental charlatans, make up a big percentage of the electorate and an even bigger voice. What a wasted opportunity the USA has become...
Hey Huckster, I BELIEVED in Santa Claus for about 5 years. Believing in Santa didn't make me want to cause harm to others.
Your BELIEF in "God", and that this "God" talks to you and tells you what to do, has led you to call for the execution of your fellow sinners in Arkansas.
Then the "God" you believe in tells you to go in other nations with "both feet stomping and overwhelming force!" ?
join the military and go to one of those nations in "an overwhelming force" and see what it's all about. It's nothing like you make it seem. By the way, the "God" you're talking about also talks to the insurgency and tells them to blow up kids, women, and innocent people.
Huck said Bushes foreign policy was weak on Iraq, and that we should have gone in with both feet stomping and overwhelming force. I'd hate to see what the death tolls would have been had Huck been the Commander in Chief.
Why did we go bomb an entire nation of Iraq and Afghanistan when all we were after is a small faction of Islamic extremists?
We didn't bomb major cities throughout the nation of Iraq, killing hundreds of thousands of civilians, who were not one of the few terrorists? There is the possibility that I just woke up from a bad dream and all those civilians bombs and bullets didn't really kill all those people? And maybe I dreamed about Hiroshima and Nagasaki as well? if so, I apologetically retract my statements.
So al-Qaida and all those insurgents killing each other has nothing to do with civilian deaths? And if you knew anything about insurgent tactics, as seen in the Hezbollah-Israeli war, the insurgents attack from within neighborhoods, provoke a response, and then run away before the bombs come dropping down. The insurgents use the civilian populations as human shields for their cowardly operations. They launch rockets off the top of apartment buildings, then run away before the response comes.
I see, so you are with the group who thinks its best to go after a few insurgent/terrorists with a huge army in uniform that becomes easy targets? Ya'll have the right to be in that group, I and many others just think its not a sensible approach to the problem.
And as Ron Paul had every Republican aggreing on in the New Hampshire debate, it is a "small group of radical Islamic thugs".
So what are you suggesting, that we don't outfit our soldiers in uniforms? And last time I checked, it wasn't just a few insurgents we were battling. Think back a few years ago to the Taliban in Afghanistan. Now we're in a cold war with the largest sponsor of state terrorism, Iran. So it's not just a small group of ragtag insurgents. And I believe what the candidates were agreeing upon is that this "small group of radical Islamic thugs" is small compared to all the Muslims in the world.
No, I'm suggesting that we work with others in or around those countries to find a way that won't cost so much taxpayer dollars and civilian lives. Maybe use intelligence more effectively to hunt these criminals down with smaller less-obvious units? We know where they camp and train. Think Google Earth.
But the weapons and uniform manufacturers like it just the way it is.
I agree with the fact that we should work with others. But it seems that our European allies and Musharraf aren't in it for the long haul like we are. Only when the fight comes to their doorstep and it's too late will they wake up. But there's no use arguing with you when you say that the war is fought for profit. I believe your intentions for the troops and America are good, but your underlying assumptions about America are a little schewed in my opinion.
I'm simply looking at history. The US government has been bent on invading and occupying other nations- 200 invasion since after WW2. Now we're going broke and can no longer afford to "police the world" or whatever one wants to call it. If my business is going broke because I have overextended, it's time to tighten the belt and downsize.
Really, I would like a list of those 200 invasions. What country have we ever invaded and occupied for imperialist purposes? But it seems like we're policing the world because nobody is doing what it takes to stand up to this terrorist threat.
I noticed you call Musharraf an "ally". Musharraf is a military dictator who overthrew an elected government in Pakistan. US government borrowed 10 billion dollars from the Chinese to give to this dictator who has 30 nukes. The taxpayers will owe this money back to China with interest, as we will the borrowed funds used to promote "democracy" in Iraq. Don't you see a conflict of interest here?
Musharraf is an ally, a crappy ally, but an ally nonetheless. I believe he is afraid of going after the terrorists in Pakistan because the population is very fundamentally Islamic and he fears retalation. What we need to do is get Musharraf to allow us to go into Quetta, the Taliban stronghold, and bomb the crap outta that place. See what happens is al-Qaeda runs into Afghanistan, attacks, runs back across the border to Quetta, and we can't follow them because we aren't allowed in Pakistan.
I suppose US military should invade every country that has terrorist groups training within? If so, I heard Fox News report not to long ago that "There are Islamic terrorists training within the US". Maybe we should start bombing every city in USA to kill all these terrorists?
I suppose the US will be chasing terrorists all over the world for the next few centuries?
Just another example of the Huckster lying and deceiving people. He probably didn't have enough money to run the ad, so he wanted some free coverage of the ad, while trying to look like the better person by not running it.
It's all part of his pattern though -- lying about the FairTax rate, lying about the parole board, lying about being fiscally conservative in Arkansas, etc.
