  • ~Your so pretty you~

  • Kaya is such a doll! How much baking soda and acv did you use?

  • Your children are beautiful

  • Cutest baby, and thank you very much for this video

  • Just have to say, great video and most of all..what a beautiful family you are! Your baby girl is so cute!!!

  • You might just have saved my locs. I started mine in 2005 and 2 years ago I cut them back because of the dirty cast on them. The girl I started them with said to dye it but dyed dirt is still dirt. I just did the acv thing and if I squeeze a loc there's like this creamy dirt coming out. It's supposed to be gone, I shampooed with Jamaica Mango and Lime too. I really don't want to cut them again. Thanks a bunch. Peace.

  • lol ..

I love how your daughter is just chilling the whole time your discussing your locs ..

    Super cute :' )

  • Is it safe for color treated locs?,

  • I did this today and I Looooooooooooooooooooooooooved it! My dreads were just touching my shoulders before I washed it and after the wash my dreads were passed my shoulders! Definitely going to do this more! Thanks for the tip!

  • @TheAnderiaJ Just be sure to put the moisture back in your locs. Glad you looooooooooved it. lol

  • How often do you retwist? Your Locs are beautiful!

  • @chyitaria I retwist maybe once every 3 months or so. #rarely

  • gimme dat baby! I kiss her jaws.

  • Are u ever going to dye your hair? In a color chestnut brown or burgundy or a color that u like?

  • @symmysym I've been threatening to dye my hair forever but have never mustered up the courage,

  • Hey I love your videos and i was wondering. Do you think it is necessary to use sulfate free shampoos?

  • @camillemc1 Honestly I haven't researched it so I can't speak on it. Currently, I don't though.

  • @camillemc1 Sulfate Free shampoos are essential to washing hair.. Sulfate can cause health issues and its very drying to the hair because its a chemical. The ONLY purpose for sulfate in shampoos is to make the shampoo create a lot of lather. A lot of shampoos are now creating Sulfate Free Shampoos.. If you have color treated hair and/or locs Sulfate free shampoo is essential to keep your color from fading and moisturized.

  • BronzeGoddess I loved that u said the names of some oils u use. Can u give me a quick recipe my hair needs some loving. Pardon me if u have a video with this already...help a sister out cause i'm running out the door now for work. i really enjoy n learn from ur videos btw...smile

  • @ishabicole I don't have a recipe but Chesacalocs does. Check out her video response. I think she posted it to this video or part one's video.

  • @BronzeGoddess01 Hey BG-when you used the acv- did you dilute it with water or did you use it straight from the bottle? Also, how long did you let the baking soda sit on your locs before you rinsed with the acv?

  • she's so adorable

  • Hey Goddess! I made a tutorial for this cleanse and also included an ingredients list. Hope that will help some of the viewers that are unclear on how much of each product to use. Thanks again for sharing this with us! Your videos are always so great and informative!

  • @chescalocs Hey girlie. I just saw your video, good stuff. I'm so glad you have a recipe and everything. I'm going to add a notation to my video so people can check out your video. I'm not brave enough to post pics of the water though. #wasntpretty

  • @BronzeGoddess01 thanks so much! ha! my water was murky as heck, but i decided to suck it up and show it. lol. some of the photos i've gotten have been pretty amazing! and when i say amazing, i mean GROSS. lol

  • Great job as always.... I will be doing this at the change of the up coming season

  • Remeber Loc wearers, You would ONLY CLARIFY your hair once or twice a month. Reason being you are striping the hair from its natural oils that is why she made the comment once or twice a month. This will be the same if you didn't have natural hair same rules apply.Whatever you take out you must put back in.

  • i also wouldn't use and wax, butter, gel are creams cause they cause buildup. Gels contain alcohol and the others contain petrolum. I learned how to make my own spray by watching damianjw84 who is a loctician. My locs are moveable, shiny and soft. Your locs shouldn't be crunchy.Water, essential oil, light setting lotion(ultra Sheen), BioSilk moisturizing lotion, mixed with triple strength Do gro lotion and a growth serum. This is very healthy or water mixed with essential oil.for retwisting

  • Yes, you can use the white vinegar. I like this method as well, better than us a clarifying shampoo which is not gauarantee to get out all that build-up. I went from using the acv and baking soda to the Mane N Tail now I'm going back to the home remedie. Yes she did metion the moisturize conditioner and I wouldn't reconmend using all those different oils. You can use an essential oil that is easy to wash out. Also, you can use cooking oilve oil, jajoba, tea tree something lite.

  • *jumping up and down* I tried it! awesomeness, squeaky clean is definitely the word Id use. The water ran a cloudy color but I rinse until it was clear and it felt great

  • Thank you for this. I did this the day you posted the video and it works!!! Because my hair is colored, I will be doing this once a month. Vinegar is acidic and can dry your hair. Like the BronzeGoddess said, add "hair loving oils" to your hair to put the moisture back in our hair.

    Have a goody goody!

  • You're a lifesaver. Been growing mine for several years and didn't know what to do with the build up even after shampooing. Hitting the store now, thank you!

  • thanks for sharing this tip. i recently cut all my locs, but i will share it with my sons. also your daughter is beautiful, she looks like ayanna/your 1st little one. i hope i didn't mess up her name. be bless

  • Can you do this method if your hair is bleached??

  • @lizzyliannamusic I saw someone do it. She said the only down side is that she could't see the results as well but she knows it works.

  • great vid! make sure u check the battery in ur smoke detector, i think that is where the beeping is coming from.

  • Did u mix it them put it in your hair or wet your hair then put in baking soda let sit then do the vinegar can u do a tutorial

  • Wow really clean gurrrrl!!!!

  • I wash my hair in the bathtub too, I wasn't using that mix you have there but I have to try it. I find that the cheap shampoos work better at cleaning my locks. And after I wash my hair (what seems like 20 times), I soak my hair in a bucket (its uncomfortable to do it but I do it to make sure my hair is clean because dirt from your hair gets on your face). Anyway thanks for the video.

  • thanks, i am really gonna try this one...do i make a paste with it on dry hair?

and how long should i leave it in for??

  • @bronzegoddess01...thanks I going to try it:)

  • wow what a cutie

  • Hello BronzeGoddess, how much of the ACV did you use versus the baking soda?

  • omg can't wait to try this and make a video response!!! and your daughter's name is kaya!!?!?!?!? i love it! my pup's name is kaya and she's basically my daughter. lol

  • I just tried club soda. Was and rinse with it. Squeaky clean.

  • How did you use the vinegar? Did you do 1 part ACV and 2 parts water? what was your recipe?

  • I had to watch this video twice, cuz the first time I wasn't listening to you at all because I was distracted by the cuteness of your baby!!!!!! Awwwwwww!

  • this thing is great- I wash my hair a couple times a week and coulda sworn it was clean, lol. But yea, I got some gook! I was excited, horrified, and thrilled all at once. Blessings.

  • If you have permanent color, is it safe to do ACV rinses? If not, what do you recommend as deep cleaner for locs with permenant color?

  • thanks for sharing...i will be trying it

  • She is so precious! Do you think this method will work for micro braids?

  • question my lady: will this cleaning take my color off? (i've actually dye my hair pitch black quite often.lol)

  • Comment removed

  • another great vid! Very helpful and informative.

  • Girl you are heaven sent!!I Just finished trying this solution and it really worked my hair feels fresh and look clean. "Squeeeky, Squeeeky....lol" :-)

Iv been watching your videos for some time now, Love em....

  • Awesome. I'm gonna try that!

And omg your daughter is adorable! I love how she's just chillin throughout the video.

  • Your locs are beautiful! Watching your videos got me thinking about locking my hair

  • Hi baby girl! You are beautiful! :-) ah, babies... freshness to the earth!

  • Love your vids'...Love this video(I rated thumbs ups) but no I will not be putting baking soda in my locs' anytime soon after watching Kimmytubes' video on the chemical reaction that happens when you use baking soda. Your locs look clean and I don't know what else would get that Organics goop out.

  • Thanks for sharing this with us...Awww the baby made an appearance..

  • That baby is just precious! Anywho- how do you dry your locs??? Do you normally let them airdry? Mine are not 1/2 the length of yours and they take FOREVER to dry!!! Boooo!

  • @minacakes00 I prefer to let them airdry. I've never had heat on my locs. No dryer.

  • What do you use for a leave-in conditioner?

  • @prettydougla I don't use a leave in conditioner but I'm open to suggestions. Have you heard of any good ones for locs?

  • @BronzeGoddess01

I haven't found one that I'm 100% satisfied with yet that's why I was asking you. I've tried Jamaican Mango Lime, Jane Carter's, and Oyin Homemade. I'm trying to stick with Black-owned. I've seen a lot of oils out there but I am looking for something I can slather all over my dry locs. I'll let you know if I find anything.

  • @prettydougla you should try Taliah Waajid products....i swear by her African Healing Oyl.

  • You shouldn't do this to your hair every 2 weeks to a month because the baking soda is very strong and strenuous on the hair. I would do this every 6 months to keep it safe.

  • @DesignerzOnly You may be right. As clean as my hair felt after this, there wouldn't even be a need to do it so often. I guess it mostly depends on your product usage. I'm far from a product junkie. I'm more of a minimalist when it comes to my hair.

  • @BronzeGoddess01 I totally understand. I just wanted to let you know so you don't ruin your locs. :) But 6 months to a year would be beneficial. Also, you can brush your locs every 6 months to a year. Yes BRUSH. It helps get out any lint you might have straggling on your locs. Just some friendly tips! :)

  • Watching you and the way your locs look makes me want to look into getting my hair put into locs.... Your Hair is Beautiful and so are your girls.

  • Can you do this for natural hair???

  • @mzsusu89 I would research it first just to be safe but if you use all natural baking soda, I don't see why not. This method seems more beneficial to those with locs because we don't have the luxury of loose hair. Good luck! :0)

  • Your locs are spanking!!! Make me want to loc mine up!! lol and your daughter is wonderful!

  • I admire your beautiful locs! one of my good friends just started her loc journey! I think you are such an inspiraiton to the versitility as well as the beauty of natural hair! Thank you for making videos!!!

  • I didn't hear anything u said after you put your beautiful baby on camera :) Great video!

  • @robinettesworld My daughters love to crash my videos. They think it's funny. :0)

  • Thanks. I will give it a try

  • Your looks great. I can't wait to try this. Baby girl is getting big...beautiful!!!

  • baby grl is so cutzie

  • Your husband has some strong genes girl! Your children are beautiful!

And every time I watch your videos I contemplate locing.

  • awww she looks like a baby doll just sitting there cute as can be!

  • I watched both vids yesterday and went home and tried it. The results were Fantabulous!!! Thanks for sharing. I love your vids!

  • Definitely gonna try that. Kiya is gorgeous.

  • Baby girl's cheeks are SO luscious!!!

  • Nice!!! I usually mix the baking soda with water to make a paste and then i put it in my hair. Now do you mix the baking soda with acv and then apply it to your hair? I just wanted you to know I love watching your videos and you have a beautiful and blessed family:) Thx for being a youtuber....

  • @Divadesertlocs No, I actually just applied the dry baking soda all over my hair including my scalp and then used a squeeze bottle full of acv. Then I was scrubbing my hair against it's (like I do when I wash it) to make sure anything trapped deep inside my locs would come out. After that, I turned my head upside down in my bathtub and starting scrubbing and the water was like...BROWN! I was like daaaaaang. I washed it with the claryfing shampoo until the water was clear again.

  • @oblady1 she has part one where she tells wat she did b/ yea thts wat she did! pweety awesome

  • Do you make a baking soda paste and then add the ACV rinse?

  • @oblady1 Never heard of doing a paste. I just applied it dry.

  • Hey lady, just a side note, I've used this method and found that it really dries out the locs' so just to let your viewers know to have a moisturizer handy. I do this cleanse about once a month for this reason.

  • @egypsie I moisturized my hair afterward. I mentioned it in the video but I'll add an annotation so people can read it as well. Look at you, all nice and stuff. #locwearersaresosweet

  • So how exactly did you use them? did u mix them in a paste and apply it, then shampoo? Thanks! And the baby is beautiful!!! You have a beautiful family

  • She looks like a miniature version of your husband lol

  • Great video! I'm going to try this too :) Hey Miss Kiya!!

  • I love the results your locs are so long and Kia is getting so big

  • Baby looks just like Yana!

  • Gyrl, that is a BEAUTIFUL LiL ONE there. Thank U Much

  • Comment removed

  • Your hair is beautiful! I can really see the results too! I'm gonna try it this weekend. You know I always pride myself on keeping my hair squeaky clean until I baffled myself last week. I called my self deep cleaning by simply rewashing and rewashing and scrubbing... I shampooed my hair 8 yes 8 times and it would still pull dirt before running clean on the last wash. I just gave up at 8 lol. Thanks for sharing!

  • jajajajaja!

  • Hey, can you used white distilled vinegar?

  • @ShadesMakeup I've only heard of using acv. I would research it first.

  • Aw, first and foremost...look at little momma just chilling! Ok now back to you...I can tell the results were a THUMBS UP immediately. I will definitely look into trying this out cause Lawd knows I love myself some ACV Rinses so I'll keep ya posted on my results..mmmhmm! Thanks for sharing this!

    (✿◠‿◠) Kokofemme

  • Fabulous results! Your daughter is a doll!

  • So I'm assuming you dusted your locs all over with baking soda and then added the vinegar to your hair and let it lather as you massaged it in?

  • hair is beautiful and so your is daughter.

  • I'M SO GONNA TRY THIS :-D

  • LOVE YOUR HAIR...it's grown so much...sometimes i want locs...i have yarnbraids now so i feel loc'ish...lol, n e hoo. enjoy your wknd :-)

  • i love doing the ACV rinse!! it makes my locs feels so good and clean,,, but i never tried it like this though..

  • Baby is so beautiful!

  • I'm going to have to try that. She's getting so big.

  • beautiful!

  • could you tell the story of why you locked up? I just always wondered

  • I don't know if you have a chance to see it, but I sent you a message on advice on fuzzy locs. When I twist back my hair after a wash the rest of my locs are fuzzy. What do you use to calm your if you have any.

  • I had forgotten about the ACV and BS. There is a video of this lady explaining why doing the ACV and BS is not enough, that there's another step to do in order to close the cuticle or whatever. I mean she had it down to a science with a notebook and everything! LOL! I can't remember her name, but, you can always do a search on ACV rinse. Anyway, why don't you every wear your hair straight? It's beautiful!

  • three letters...one word...WOW!

  • Ive been wanting to try this but then I say kimmaytube's vid on it and couldn't decide. Your munchkin is so cute just 6 wks and 3 days and her little facial features seem to be changing :0)

  • i like your locs like this as well - straight down - you look like a goddess!

  • Yes it does look dyed! I did the BS and ACV wash once and was looking at the water like "what the what" how long has this been in my hair!

  • I've heard about the acv but never tried it. But I am definately trying this since I used bees wax the first year I locked (I'm now in year 5 and know now better)

  • flawless

  • I thought the thumbnail of this video was someone else. I've never seen your hair down. I like it.

  • I have always admired you locs, they are gorgeous......The little one is soooooo adorable.

  • Wow your locks do look extra black. Lol! I must give this a try on my sisterlocks. Your baby is soooo b e a u t i f u l!!! I'm ready to see you do more lock styles :)

  • OT: Where did you get the shelving in the background?

  • I'll be trying this my next wash

  • cute baby shes gorgeous...

  • You should let us get a glimpse of your hair length from the back with a light colored shirt on.

  • part 1 is private but hair ur is beautiful

  • @zuriislandgurl I'm so frustrated with YT. I have in set to public but only some of you can see it. Ugh.

  • I love the stylz too!!!

  • You never really looked like you had locs until now, that your hair is down. You know since most people with them just simply let them hang. You have so much hair its a beaut!!!

  • Hey, I noticed you said you were recording from your iPad, if you get iMovie from the app store you can do movie editing on there as well. Cute baby btw!

  • i think it might be a problem with youtube but if you go to her channel and watch Part 1 there, then it works.

hey BG whats the recipe for the vinegar & baking soda? what proportions did you use?

  • your hair looks so beautiful and clean! Baby is adorable!

  • beautiful :) is there a video you referenced to show you how to actually do it? i'd love to try it.

  • i cant see the first one its private

  • Aww ur baby is so cute beautiful:)

  • how often you retwist? I wash my hair often but I don't retwist, and when I do I only retwist my front and sides, I call this a fake out! LOL I notice your hair always look freshly twisted, do you be doing the fake out too? LOL and what product you use to retwist, I am so happy you did a hair video! Plz do more of them you are great!

  • Wow I see it too. REEEEALLLY dark and clean. Wow! I have baking soda...but I have white vinegar. Will it still work the same? I heard baking soda wasn't good for hair I don't know, shrugs. But this looks like it works so I'll try it.

  • I have got to try this! I have major build up so it would be good for my locs. Thanks BG!!

  • awww the baby is beautiful! And your hair is lovely! The more I watch you, the more i want to lock my hair......Hmmmmm

  • part 1 is private?!

  • Hardly ever see your hair down: girl, GORGEOUS!

  • @TheFeburaryDreamer Hubby loves my hair down but I rarely rock it that way. I guess I'm a sucker for styling my locs.

  • OMG your hair is so pretty, I can't wait until I get some length to my hair.

  • Part one says the vid is private.

  • Beautiful! Your hair is amazing! I almost can't wait to get some length so I can go to your loc tutorials and style my life away! Lol! Thanks for the update!

  • i love your squishy cream puff little girl she is so cute and looks so healthy and I just love her lol. Oh and your hair looks amazing. God Bless!

  • Your locs are sooo beautiful and so is the little one! I must try the baking soda/acv rinse ASAP.

  • I want to try this right now! What is the recipe you used to deep clean?

  • the other vid say its private

  • I tried to view it also and got the private video message.

  • Hey Baby Girl! So cute!

  • your dreads are magnificent... beautiful

  • Your hair looks really nice down!! I use ACV rinses and clarifying shampoo and my hair always looks darker afterwards. I haven't tried shea butter (or any butters) yet because I think they cause build-up in my hair. *giggles* @ the little cutie just "hangin' in there"

  • @mylaylay18 I use very little oil. I just love the shine it adds and I only use oils that are good for my hair like jojoba. I Love my Africa's Best but I couldn't find it so the shea oil concoction is my alternative. P.S. How you doin'?I was as excited to meet you as you were to meet me at the Hawks/Heat game. #ilovefellowatliens ;0)

  • @BronzeGoddess01 lol, I use more oil then I use water sometimes lol!! My hair is pretty dry though. Oh yessssss @ Africa's Best!! I absolutely LOVE it too! Instant moisture baby lol! I like Nature's Shine and all of the essential oils for hair too (like jojoba, rosemary, sage, and even peppermint and lavendar). I guess you could say I'm a oil junkie right now. I'm doing great!!! I so wish we had more time to chat!! (dag on light and my hubby and father-in-law) were on a mission lol.

  • Party one is private, we cannot watch it :S.

  • @Afreekaribeaness Youtube is trippin'. It says the video is public to me.

  • @BronzeGoddess01 Please fix this issue so I can watch the video. Thanks love.

  • @Afreekaribeaness If you click on BG's main channel, you can watch the video. That's what I had to do.

  • @montegogyal2 thanks for the info

  • @Afreekaribeaness It's coming up "private" for me too.

  • part 1 is private?

  • BG,

    Where's the 1st part?

  • You, your hair, and your family are just amazing!! :-)

  • awwwwwwwwww your daughter is toooooooo cute and love your hair:)
