Noir himself played a direct part in three characters reaching God Tier, and if Aradia hadn't been dead before they began playing the game the Trolls might not have even defeated the Black King to begin with, so no Kid Universe.

Now, imagine him waking up on Prospit for the first time, and seeing the other Jack. It looked similar to the Jack that he grew to trust. And then. Being killed by Jack.

@WhiteMageMentality Actually, Rose did tier-two prototype her Kernelsprite (Jaspers and the Eldritch Princess doll), and both had an effect on the sovereigns and the underlings. The official rule is that only prototyping done before entering the medium will affect the game, because the Kernelsprite will only divide once the player has entered.

IMO Karkat is just basically overwhelmed and doing the best he can with whatever little knowledge he can piece together on the fly, plus not having a lot of control over the rest of the troll players yet still feeling responsible for somehow saving them (the ones that are still alive, at least). The fact that he's still in there pitching instead of huddling in a corner rocking back and forth is pretty amazing, considering. Poor guy needs a hug, indeed.

@RyanThunderThief only the first prototyping affects the wearer of the ring. The kernelsprite splits, one part going to derse while the other goes to prospit. The third, which is the first tier prototyped sprite, stays with the kid (most of the time) and follows them around. Only one prototyping is needed to enter the Medium, but you can prototype more if you want. Only the imps, ogres, etc are affected by any other prototyping. The kernels on the towers affect the ring wearer, but Jack's bad.

Those occurring before will affect the Medium through the kernel's "hatching" process, and your guide, i.e. the sprite. Those occurring after will only affect the sprite. "

So while none of the kids prototyped their sprites twice before getting to the Medium, it is possible to do so and effect the ring doubly so.

No one is to blame for the creation of Jack. The Alpha timeline requires it so there is nothing the kids and/or trolls can do to stop it. The creation of Jack is ment to lead to the arrival of Lord English. That is why the alpha timeline makes Jack an inevetible creation

@Reihnna Doc Scratch says that Lord English is accounted for by Paradox Space, that he's part of the equilibrium, but Jack isn't. It makes no sense for Jack to be required by Lord English. Jack is part of the alpha timeline because the final frog, to stabilize Bilious Slick, wasn't there, so the Genesis Frog got cancer, manifested in the form of Jack Noir.

Yes, the chain of problems do seem to begin with Karkat's creation of the kid's universe, but he isn't directly affecting every single one of them.
