  • lol left handed player on a rigt handed guitar! FTW!!!!!! awesome job dude.

  • lol 2:50 and 3:15 was so dramatic with a pick. Have you ever tried playing this with finger picks? It's hard to learn, but way easier after that. It's the right way to play it, but frankly I like it with the pick because you get such a dramatic sound out of it.

  • the hair kicks ass. so does the playing.

  • I'm a defender of the faith as well and i thought it was an impressive version

  • You can tell his hair is Page inspired ;)

  • yea i played a way better verison of this at my schools talent show...if only it was recorded for you tube

  • good job on that well played

  • JHON yOu SUCKS!!!

  • i just realized EVERYTHING from school shows like this has no monitors or anything

  • ur left handed...

did you saw jimmy page playing this song left handed? ...

    probably not ...

its impossible to play this song left handed!

  • i don't see how it would be harder. its the exact same.... just someone left-handed playing it.

  • all he said is no one person can play that song, retard

  • why is it so hard for people to play this with the right timing. its like people are completely lost

  • alot of people can they just choose not to. this is a song that lots of people including myself just let flow when we play it =D

  • had I tried to do a true version, I would have kept the timing, but I had time constraints and did my own arrangement to it that contained my own sections as well.

So, yes it was intentionally played different, but I understand your frustration with people playing it wrong.

  • @S8M3G great job kid

  • @S8M3G very good, but why do you keep your head down all the time? :P

  • you had me mesmerized...

that song is so hard to play.

  • im glad theres a few rockers left in the world ,we have HOPE!

  • As usual no credit is given to Davey Graham who played this before the plagariast Page and to my mind better the er plagarist Page.

  • or bert jansch, but zeppelin is the greatest cover band.

  • i thought black mountainside was inspired by folk music. so your calling everyone who ever played or sang the national anthem a plagiarist?

  • no people who played that one song retard

  • zp4eva i read your sentence about 10 times and i still have no idea what you are trying to tell me. can you please use complete sentences?

  • not every body who sang the anthom is a plagirist thats a completely false statement

  • thats what i was trying to say, so why did you call me a retard? lol?

  • I am very amazed.

thanks for this, one of Page's best

  • gr8 job brother!

  • Go lefty go!

  • b/c he had to...

  • best cover I've seen/heard so far!!

  • nice seeing someone else play a right handed guitar upside down.

  • is that the same tuning as "going to California"?

  • im no white summer is in dadgad same as the kasmir tuning hope this helps !

  • no going to california is in G tuning...

  • uhh yeah its definitely best in dadgad...

  • DADGAD 1/2 step lower on the album

  • wrong you drop the 1st and 6th strings to D... the live version is in G

  • for real! lol! That makes sense thanks!

  • he plays over the top because he dosnt have a cutaway you twat.

  • that was phanomanal!!!

i know i spelt that wrong tho

you GOTTA do more zepp covers!!

    you are awesome!!

what is your first and last name, i wanna be able to say i saw that kid playing before he was famous.

  • this was awesome, i dont know what your talking about.

    i dug this alot.

  • no shit. and the neck thing people sometimes do so the strings dont ring an open note after you let your finger off of it while tapping. AND jimmy page used a normal pick, its called hybrid picking, which is what this guys doing. you obviously dont know this, so i dont think you should be talking at all.

  • he was doing that becasue hes playing on a dreadnought and he cant reach the frets, idiot

great job on the song btw great cover 5/5

  • i think it was sweet dude good job, break out the violen bow next haha

  • i am a lefty myself its good to see other lefties rockin out i am currently working on this song myself...rock and roll will never die

  • Great job!!!

So how did you do with placement in the show?

It seems like people now don't have taste for quality music any more...

But keep the good stuff rockn'!!!

  • i know what you mean. sometimes i wonder if a band similar to zeppelin came out with impecible musical knowledge, unique styles and diversity, and kickass rockin jams; would anyone even respect them? i mean look at songs like soulja boy. i bet that hack has never taken a music class in his life but he still makes it to the top of the charts. soon the music society afixiates its trends to wont even be music, just like jungle noises or somethin. sry bbut i get emotional when it comes to music.

  • Yeah- if Led Zeppelin themselves started today and released their first album- would it even make the shelves? Its crazy how the music systems get better but the music is getting worse. I think I'll have to try and do something about that... : )

  • @spartacusian08

    Let us all.

    Good job kid.

I love how the light hits the guitar at 5:35

  • good job young man.

  • not bad but not great either, decent improv, you shouldn't have used a pick though

  • are you left handed

it's only 10% of the population in the world that is left handed

  • I sure am.

  • nice playing man, and nice hair too. hahaha

  • merci

  • That was really cool !

    You Rock man ! :D

I'm playing for half a year now, and it's getting better ! Love the guitar ! <3

  • Lefties unite! :D

  • Yeah!

  • This was great, keep on practicing man you doing great!

  • That was brilliant! I played this song for a talent show, and ive found that even if you do mess up a little, people still think its amazing. that was really good.

  • Fuck the hater's! You ruled on this song it ain't an easy one to play and the improv stuff was sweet too. YOU ROCK!!!

  • thanks bro. Who cares if it wasn't perfect. I never said it was. It was what it was, and I'm happy with the way it turned out.

But you get that, so why am I preaching to the choir?

  • lol

  • wiiiiiiiiiii

    i'm also left handed =D

    but not that good :P

keep up with the good work man =)

  • yes, it is a compliment, coz i is lefto too

  • left handed motha fucka

  • lol?

  • that was a really nice job man. im trying to get this piece down...im trying to figure out if i can get away with using a pick or not. did u use one? and where did you get your tab? (if you used one)

  • I used a pick but kept my pinky ring and middle finger open to play other notes as well. It's tricky at first, but you should be able to get the hang of it. I didn't have a tab for the song, I just figured it out for myself, and as you probably could tell it wasn't exact, and I kinda made up some of my own stuff with it. If you don't know the tuning its, DADGAD. I might be able to help you a bit if you're struggling.

  • Yeah shaman, you can use a pick and your fingers, it's called Hybrid Picking. I highly recommend learning it asap, I wish I had learned it a lot sooner than I did.

  • nice job, as a guitarist I was really into Page as a youth. Too bad the recording is a little faint. You might consider putting this away for about a month, then re-recording where the acoustics are better. - because guitar is essential

  • my high school talent show is coming up and im doing this song too! whats it like performing it in front of all those people?

  • it wasn't so bad, have you ever played on a stage before? It's a bit getting used to, but once you're out there playing you really tend to forget whats going on around you. Just get into it. I honestly was more worried walking up and setting up than I was playing, regardless of the numerous times I screwed up. Very little people will notice mess-ups unless they know the song really well.

  • i played flying on the ground is wrong by neil young in buffalo sprigfield last year, and i sang! which was ya know totally nerve racking. i did alright, but all i was doing was strumming five different chords, so this is going to be so different...

  • rock on!!!
