I recommend reading Dawkins' "the selfish gene". Basically, genes are the unit of selection and not entire groups. If a new mutation arises (ie. homosexuality when population densities are high), it will immediately die out and won't get passed on. Such mutations don't get passed on, so nobody has them.

Just to challenge your theory. Wouldn't overpopulation be an environmental cause thus putting your theory a subcategory of the environmental theorist? To take your own data analysis with the mice. You said as their population grew and thus the mice became gay. That implying that they weren't gay before, so that rules out genetics since mice don't have to worry about "coming out"
So when you say you don't believe in environment you contradict yourself because over population was the environment

Your view of "genetics" referring strictly to Mendelian genetics is perhaps a bit restricting. It's not simply a case of "oh, I'm gay, therefore I must have inherited a gay gene from someone in my family", but instead it's very likely to be genes affecting your sexual development and the neuronal wiring in your brain, which affect your perception of what you find "attractive" sexually.

I don't know what the pattern is for girls, but for male children with each one you have the likelihood that they'll be gay increases by I think a quarter. So that fits right in with a population based homosexuality theory.

Evolution is for species' survival, so makes sense. Could still have a genetic or developmental role- e.g., ur left-handed (= 1/3 chance of being gay); looks like both genes are on an X chromosome arm. Jack-in-the-pulpit (perennial) changes sex each year, depending on ratio of nearby males:females- so plants are adaptable, too. Nice vid- thanks.
