Yep you can. They cost around $100 a set, and I paid $30 to have them put in by my pistol smith.
The only time you need / or want a boost is on a pistol barrel that tips to unlock. My sig is a M13.5x1 metric with a "Booster" for a fixed pistol barrel like the 92F you do not need it boosted. On my 9mm AR it is a 3 lug HK style without a boost.
your barrel threads are screwed up.You get your barrel from SWR direct or did you buy your own? They will fix that for you for nothing if it's there barrel(a custom Jarvis I think).
It is normal for cans to un-screw after a few mags. That is why most sub-gun cans go with a 3 lug. I have this can on a SIG P226 with a SWR inspected factory threaded SIG barrel and it un-screws slightly after 3 or so mags. They tell you to be on the look out for it. It is no big deal. I also have the 3 lug assembly mount for mine it locks up tight on the HK. and AR 9mm
Have you ever tried this can with a 3 lug on a carbine? My SWR should be here in a few weeks. I have a SIG P226, and a 9mm AR pistol. I am hoping they will sell the AR upper to me for it.
Not yet, I have an Olympic Arms 9mm upper but I have yet to find anyone who makes a 3-lug barrel for it, everyone seems to focus on the colt/rra style 9mm uppers.
Hot can there? You tighten the can prior to shooting through it with your shirt. lol
So how do you like this combo? I priced it out at around $1200 plus the stamp. I want to step up from the .22lr silencer world and get a 9mm suppressor. I am considering the SWR trident 9 - I hear it's the quietest and my SWR warlock is awesome. Then I'd get either the Glock 19 or CZ-75b. I love my CZ-75b in .40s&w, but glock barrels are easier to find.
I've read of some people using teflon tape to prevent suppressors from backing out. It seems strange to me for an SWR suppressor to need to be retightened that often, though. It could be due to who made the barrel (don't know who made yours) or you could contact SWR about it. Their products rock, but so does their service.
As far as I know that's pretty much normal with every can. The forces involved just cause the can to slowly back out which is why alternative mounting systems like 3-lug/bi-lock were created.
I almost never have to tighten my SWR HEMSII on my USP Tactical. I have gone through shoot courses and fired 5+ mags without issue. Of course the USPTAC has LH threads and that is probably playing a big role. I intend to have all 9mm barrels threaded the same as the USP 9mm SD, 13.5 LH for the same reason.
It's still a lot louder than most people think. It's nothing like the hollywood notion of suppressors. They don't make a firearm 'silent', at best they just make them not sound like firearms. I would equate it to a very loud nail gun.

Can you get one for a GLOCK 20

I had a Colt 9mm barrel shortened and had a Gemtech 3 lug adapter put on it with Loctite.

It is a 3 lug on a 5 inch barrel under the rail. I had to register it as a pistol since we can not have SBRs in my state.

those are factory fixed sights, right? Can you see over the suppressor with them?
cdmillig 4 years ago
I picked up a set of tall Ameriglo night sights for my SIG P226 for use with this can. The tube dia. is 1.35".

so can you see over the trident with them?
BTW does a trident have a booster?

If you need help getting a 3 lug, I might know how to get you one... I have 4 friends who work for Oly Arms... One is their barrel maker!

The can needs to be tightened after every magazine or two, I had already been shooting it for a while.
It cost me $890 total for the can + adapter + stamp.

The barrel is from KKM Precision.

its easy you get a threaded barrel or get an adaptor if you dont want to change the barrel and slide.
bbs6000 4 years ago
They don't make an "Adaptor" You need a threaded barrel, and your slide does stay the same.
proinfidel 4 years ago
how did you get a suppressor on a glock?
viper909909 4 years ago
You get a barrel extention like every other gun. Basically you have to buy a longer barrel that is threaded to match the suppressor.
Nothing different to any other gun.
bigpyoopypants 4 years ago
Tried it wet yet? Once you add an ounce or two of water it sounds REALLY impressive. SWR makes some of the best stuff in the biz.
