you dont need a mongoose, but you do need to crouch.me and my friends online tried it, it worked!

but while i was crouching there with my friendsi killed one of them, when the walls respawned i didnt go under but my friends corpse kinda did, it was really freaky cos he was kinda half in half out and he started having a siesure of some kind. he started convulsing wildly and shooting out all over the place i told my friends to see and he made it all the way down the corridor before disappearing.

i was able to do the same thing with a few walls but no mongoose...just put the walls there with a respawn time long enough to get to the room and don't have it placed there at start...and then wait for the walls to come in and try to move then quickly change over to forge mode...
