i agree if yur gunna buy shitty gear dont buy shitty eye wear go to a gun store or dicks sporting goods or i found really good results from arena flak jak goggles and ess gogggles
If you want to use the sun glasses type. Go the a real gun shop and get real ballistic proof glasses. I had a pair that took I direct hit from a 9mm splinter. I had a black eye for weeks but could have been killed without the glasses. I would certainly have lost my eye. The glasses I now use can withstand a 12gage 1 1/6 ounce shot gun blast at point blank range and only cost £80 much cheaper than replacing an eye. And to stop fogging ask at a sky shop.
well heres a tip my fellow airsofters... after your glasses got shot once [you called hit and you out of the game] don't ever use those glasses again because there meant to save your eyes once
@leonassi The funny thing is I am an American and I live in the United States. I hate people who think, because it is the Internet, WE CANZ ALLZ TALKZ LIKEZ rEtaDrds. Learn to type. That's all I ask.
enough krauttalk.
dunno about you pal but i think my german is rather good.
If you want something to protect your mouth in combination with the X500 what could you use, that's not to much of an annoyance? (I've used the X500 before so don't worry about the fit, or anything like that.)
with the full face mask there is a 4th option. get a thermal lens. its like a double paned window and will resist fogging a lot. the only problem ive had with it is sweat getting on the lense
Nice review guys :) but i wanted to ask something: in Austrian do you guys have themal cured lenses on full face masks? because i have a pair and they dont fog up, and arent very easy to to chip or crack
This is great. I would also like to add that a local player has testet shooting at guarder C2 glasses with a shotgun (Real Steel not airsoft) at ranges of 10 and 5 meters. The 10 meters held with good capacity, the 5 meter shooting made large deformations but nothing penetrated.
is it 600fps with 0.43 or 0.2g BBs? a velocity of 600fps with 0.43g BBs would be an energy of about 20 Joule. a bit too hard for an airsoft rifle i guess...
hey ScaarAT! can you tell me where you can get the X500 in Canada or someone who ships to Canada. thanks! oh i like your CADPAT combats, theyre Canadian! :)
one of the things i love about AATV is that they reply to some of the posts, another is that they really help me not wast my money on shitty air soft guns/gear...thank you all very much and keep up with the excellent work :D
@Heavri it seems youve never been in austrian skirmishes. The 450fps already made a crack in the mesh. 500fps or a hit close to the first impact would probably go through
@isagagenius i find they are good, but oddly when we were using them one BB made a clean hole through my friends..if u have some, how much did you pay?
You guys tested goggles that are all knock-offs of the real deal. It's your eyes dude. Even if all your gear is knock-offs, don't save on your eye-protection. Better be safe than sorry.
@ScaarAT: There would be no need to test them real world goggles for Airsoft purposes, because they're already tested and certified by official standards (e.g. ANSI etc.). If a real goggle withstands shrapnel and certain shotgun ammunition, it will certainly do so for plastic BBS, too. Real safety glasses/goggles don't need to be more expensive, but they can save your eyesight.
Although, I wish that when you were testing the durability that you mounted the glasses and goggles on a mannequin or some kind of stable surface, this would have helped to prevent excess energy from dissipating by the glasses to jump in the air (and produced a more valid test result).
@ChairmanWolf The only "jumping" glasses were the glasses - the goggles barely moved at all. Using a mannequin would have looked definitly cooler, but the result would be the same. If you mean the broken frame of the Guarder C3: A fellow airsofter who saw the review reported, that the same happened with his C3 when he wore it in a skirmish. the frame broke when a BB hit his glasses
thank you guys for acknowledging if they work w/ prescription glasses, not many people consider this when it comes to eye protection in airsoft reviews
@AT4ROCKET German army camo (flecktarn) is different. It uses a more natural spotty pattern with more colours. CADPAT like this is mainly black and green and uses a digital pattern, like ACU.
id buy from these guys just cuz of their accents

@norwegenlover with 0.2g BBs of course. The 0.43g BBs were used, because this weight is more common to be used with 600 fps on the field than 0.2g.
ScaarAT in reply to norwegenlover (Show the comment) 1 year ago
@norwegenlover A .43 bb at 600 fps would only be 7 joule.
