Can make a huge difference where on the rubber the pitcher stands. RH pitcher should position himself on 3B side of the rubber against a RH batter. Batter will have tougher time with pitch because it's coming more directly at him. Also gives pitcher more room to play with outside corner. My two cents.

There isn't just one right way to pitching. There are many ways and just because you have the right form does not mean you can pitch well in a game.

He should take a 20 inch or more step back and glide through into a long stride and hit know balance point .
and dont go down and out go strait out
