  • Got 2 of these if not in the city I live at =) I pretty much see it drive by were I work everyday =) Its a really nice car, but I still prefer a golf gti mk2 =)

  • haha and Americans try to claim that "they" made it.

  • That's a sick little ride!

  • @xxpenguinxxboyxx you probably don't even drive a fucken car

  • @xxpenguinxxboyxx No they didn't for the sake of not receiveing a bad rep but they were still in the process, their just trying to make themselves look good but a FAGGOT like you wouldn't fucken realize that!!

  • I know why its not in this country, it's because Ford is trying to get another bail out and can't with this cool ass ride.

  • @Urmom882 ford never took bailout money lol idiot

  • This thing is outrageous. Love it.

  • what are you americans going on about? don't you guys already have the MUSTANG? which by the way...is awesome?

  • @SeEsAw121221

That's because Ford of Europe designed the RS, and they don'y want to give it to America.

  • @SecularTechnology sounds kinda stupid, they dont wanna give america their own car back?

  • @yaseenshuja1

The focus is still pretty Amerian. But all American compacts are Euro. I mean Chryslers isn't American in the slightest. (Fiat 500, Dart)

  • I will make my number plate

    BYBYGTI-WP

    BYES3

    BYEMPS

    BYEWRX

    BYER32

    BYEOPC

BYERSI basically bye to all hatches cos this kills LOL

  • I want one!!! dont have the money though :( sniff :'(

  • I went out in one last night. I can tell you that it is simply butt tightening awesomeness!

Sounds amazing through 2nd and 3rd, as I was plastered against the rear window!

  • now theres 2 cars that belong to the rs500 club. the serrias are not exclusiie anymore.

  • I want one so bad!

  • I really love this car... it scares and excites me as much as angelina jolie does.

Slight resentments, and only slight - i thought 500 stood for 500 Horsepower...

and why in the world is this, and the RS not in 4WD?

Soundtrack's not bad either... anyone know the name of the song?

  • Respond to this video... the car has no character or imagination built into it AT ALL!! sierra RS500 is my pick any day of the week........FUCK NEW CARS!! what happened to absolute power?? and why oh why is it FWD!!!??

  • @TheHARDSTYLE1990 cuz its a focus and a rally car inspired machine, besides stfu dude, no passion behind it? are we looking at the same fucking car?

  • WWD - Wrong Wheel Drive.

  • I would love this Promo even more if there wasn't music covering the music of the RS 500. 8<

  • Muito show este carro!! Pra mim o melhor do Planeta!!! Ford Focus na veia!!!

  • if i had one these beasts it be abused after week clean and polish errrr NO

  • what is under the hood? i think it should stay fwd.

  • pop at 1:00 just made me wish i was inside my computer

  • yeah FWD

    i love it

  • @appleloverr - Then I would expect the '11 Mustang to make a decent push in your country. The v6 is 305 horse with 30 mpg and the v8 makes 410 horse and 25 mpg. I like the Sport Trac because it has a couple engine choices not available in the Ranger. However, I'd prefer the Ranger Wild Trac, for the fact it has a slightly larger bed and a little better mpg. However, if Ford would drop the 4.6 V8s into the Rangers, they'd expand sales in the USA dramatically.

  • @appleloverr - They could bring the Focus RS500 motor and drive train onto a Focus SVT for America. They could adapt it to American emissions standards with very little or no modification. It would have to compete head to head with the Cobalt SS for slightly more, but delivering 50HP more would drive customers to the Focus.

The reason Ford doesn't want to bring the Ranger Wildtrac to the US with their standard engines is it has a vehicle filling that niche (rather weakly) the Explorer Sport trac

  • AWD would decrease the power to weight ratio

  • @djm104 agreed

  • I want one

  • Quite simply......to chav !!!! these hot focus might go alright ,but they lack the 4wd system to link them to the rally car and the heritage to be called rs500 !! Its only a couple of years ago we had an rs500 fiesta, and what were the rs500 special features you ask.....stickers,alloys and ...oh god !!! BLUETOOTH !! Hardly awe-inspiring stuff like the original legend, the sierra rs500 cosworth.I think the marketing prats have got more power than the motorsport boys these days at ford...shame !!

  • the focus looks like its not american nomore lol

    it looks a little riced....

  • @MCJustinG

    The focus was never american...

  • @adorm thats so true

  • @MCJustinG it looks european, because the focus kind of is:))

  • 350 horse power in a ford focus? one word WOW!

  • I GOT THE VERY LAST ONE.....which was nice!!

  • @badslabber

You serious, or just trolling? :o

  • @adorm what do you think ,btw i also recently ploughed a veyron in to the pub carpark wall , while doing a burn out , it seems i was quit quit drunk at the time AMEN

  • you saw it guys over that hump? =))) did like a boat on sea!

    FORD SUX!

  • @porta20 sad twat.......

  • @MrNotbornyesterday1 ppl from UK talking about cars? =))) plz gtfo :(

    sry for the off topic

  • doesnt really sound or look that fast watagwarn

  • there will be made 500, and 55 are for germany PS: Bei einer Limitierten Version von 500 Stück find ich es schon schade das Ford nicht mal da über allrad oder heckantrieb nachgedacht hat. wenigstens bei diesen 500 limitierten hätten se das machen müssen. Das wäre der Hammer geworden, aber so...? is nich wirklich unbedingt was neues an dem auto als bei dem normalen RS.... Schade Ford

  • They should combine the revo-knuckle front suspension with a 4wd system and this could be a tru evo/scooby beater.

    Loving the flat paintjob.

  • ford should build a 4wd cosworth version of the focus

  • i don't like that car , looks like stock F on steroids

  • /watch?v=QAzzB64s1V4

Spotted yesterday at border Germany - Belgium =)

  • only a few days <3<3<3

  • Ford claims the RS500 will hit 62 mph in 5.6 seconds. Were pretty sure we could do better than that, since we coaxed a 5.4-second 060 run from the first-gen Mazdaspeed 3, which had 263 hp.

  • @eldom20 The RS500 probably weighs in a heavier than a Mazdaspeed 3. However, I think the RS was made more for windy back roads not drag races. Since Ford claims "It's the closest you'll get to driving an actual rally car on the road".

  • @g0ferboy yeah, it sure has more stability than the mazdaspeed 3. don't get me wrong, the RS is a nice car.

  • Mad Max`s INTERCEPTOR!!

  • I see you lot are all complaining about the same thing here i work for Ford and have driiven the RS and you are right it needs to be 4WD. Well lets just look forward to the next RS cus that will be 4WD!!

However no Evo Scooby compares to this monster!!

  • EVO is gay!

  • it would be great car if they make it Awd, then it really would compete in Evo and WRX class, previous RS was great to drive even it was only Fwd but still it's not rally car for a road like EVO or WRX, if they make it AWD I would buy one but until they do I will drive my EVO 8

  • thank god they made the interior a slight bit better.

  • I've already ordered one, paid extra so I could get it before it is out on sale. £30,000 extra, a bit steep but worth it!!!

  • @M4DNUS 30k to get a car before it comes out on sale? You're a total idiot

  • @Headshot426 Yeah right, I won't be the idiot when I'm driving in a car in which they will only make 500. In a couple of years this car will be an antique, so many people will have tuned it up or crashed it into a ditch, I'll make thousands. Plus you know what I'm probably richer than you and so that is why I paid £30k I got money to waste.

  • @M4DNUS Thats assuming you actually get allocated one in the ballot.. Only 101 coming to UK - I reckon this will be well oversubscribed.. good luck.

  • @M4DNUS Also - if you want it to age well you wont be driving it - stick it in a humidity controlled garage with a dustsheet over it and only ever bring it out in dry/low humidity weather then it might be worth something in 15 years or so.

  • British and German at its best!

  • I thought the new Focus had came out

  • Nice but expensive !!!

    57.000 US$ in Europe (Belgium).... -_-

  • WOW! I want mine in glossy red!

  • Nice lttle ball of fury.

  • Volvo turbo i5= solid motor with good potential, if a bit heavy and dated

    Sliding calipers=fail

    FWD=bigger fail

Not bringing it to the US= epic fail.

  • whats the bhp n torque on this?>

  • hot car :)

  • put an AWD on it!!! and a four door will look better too... and more pratical

  • 4door - Fail

    AWD - Win

  • its not a family car and it never gonna be...

  • Make the damn thing 4wd like the cosworth

  • For those asking, no this will NOT be 4WD / FWD. So thats ALOT of torque and bhp for the front wheels to take :o

  • Tamarra, grezza, stupida ed inutile.

    In una parola.......STUPENDA!!!

  • Bring it to the States now and don't screw it up !

  • is it gonna be 4wd or fwd?

  • FWD

  • Why make from a normal-ass car a limited version? I dont get it, if you make a limited production for an LP640 it's cool. For such a normal car it isnt..

  • Wow!Very cool Focus! But Impreza Sti better for me

  • So is this the US version of the Focus RS we have here in Europe?

  • @NovaScene Nope, this isn't going to the US. It is a faster better version of the RS limited to 500 models.

  • 500 bhp?

  • noooo 345bhp

500 = how many will be made

  • @rocky69 thx dude

  • @rocky69 500 will be made

  • @dukesdiscovery Im sure thats what i said? lol

  • only 500 will be made!!.. the one on the video was 001/500

  • @rocky69 305hp and ~345tq

  • @rocky69

    500. did you see that number in the beginning where it said 001 out of 500

  • @rocky69 oinly 500 wowowo how much do they cost??

  • @whitestang99 sold out within 12 hours but 35k pounds idk how much $ that is

  • this WILL torque steer u into a tree, but dam it looks so good

  • @allisinthepass i think i might just be 4WD instead of FWD.... would make sence

  • lol, you obviously know little about the special drivetrain ford has put into this car..

  • you ever driven a FWD car with high horsepower? there's only so much power you can put down if you want any sort of cornering ability to remain... simple fact... Revo Knuckle and the special differential just help you, the weak link in the machine, put as much of that potential power down as possible.

  • @MadManDrivinHere Obviously there's only so much power it can handle, and I seriously doubt it can handle any more power to front wheels than it has now.. but Ford has done a great job to reduce A TON of torque steer. Making turns on this thing relatively easy. It requires so more awareness, I guess, to drive this bad boy but it's far from flawed

  • @SeEsAw121221 far from flawed for a FWD platform, which imho after owning and driving the shit out of a mazdaspeed 3, FWD is a flawed platform to build a serious performance car on... and don't try and sell me on the "practicality" of this focus lol... they should just bring their rally car driveline to the street and be done with it...

but the RS is a very very good car for FWD, and I'm sure will surprise many people... I'm just sick of using FWD in a turbo car i guess

  • @MadManDrivinHere I'm not here to try to sell you in on how the FWD was a good choice, because it's a stupid choice. Slapping in a rally-championship inspired AWD system would definitely demolish the competition(Evo,STI,etc.). But they don't do it and they continue to advertise the RS to alot of the U.S. customers and they won't even bring it to North America!!

    That's complete BULLSHIT Ford

  • @SeEsAw121221 hahaha, yes it is complete BS... there is a sighting of one in Michigan that looks legit... watch?v=xdusyQso_3k

  • @MadManDrivinHere OH MY GOD!

I know Mexico sells the ST version... Argh.. it sucks

  • @MadManDrivinHere If its the green RS then that's the car which Ford had on their stand at the SEMA show in Las Vegas last November.

  • @turbosystem possible... but there's only a few color choices and that means a lot of Green RS's floating around... who knows... certainly not me.

  • @SeEsAw121221 Here, have a tissue. You can always buy a Mustang... LOL

  • @SeEsAw121221 your right man 4WD would have kicked ass on this car its a shame really =[ still looks amazing though and will still probably be fast =D

  • @SeEsAw121221 they are going to release them in the u.s. but in limited numbers. haha read up.

  • @g0ferboy No, they're not.

  • @SeEsAw121221 Yea, I just read that they aren't considering it anymore since the UK platform isn't spec'd for US safety standards. Sadfacez.

  • @g0ferboy i wonder what it is about the car that doesnt meet north american standards, it really sucks we dont get these awesome cars on ford's home turf.

the new fiesta rs turbo looks like it wil be pretty cool, but again- no north american version planned.

not enough demand for these small quick cars.. i see pickup trucks everywhere, but i only see maybe 1% of them actually towing or hauling something. such a waste of money

  • @SeEsAw121221 - There's a lot of vehicles that Ford advertises but refuses to bring to America. Some of these include the Ford Thailand designed Ranger Wildtrac and the Focus RS/RS500. The reason Ford won't bring them to the US is because safety regulations would push their prices well above what they're competing against. A left-hand drive Focus RS would be 30K in the US which is 5K above the Cobalt SS it would compete against.

  • @SeEsAw121221

AWD would have been quite pointless in this car, as it would have done nothing more than add weight, sap power, and increase the cost, not to mention the Focus isn't an AWD platform (rally cars are of no real relevance to a road-going production-spec Focus). The car is by all accounts, FWD and all, an extremely well-mannered and exciting car to drive on the road, while maintaining a proper everyday usability.

As for advertising the RS to the US, when have they ever done that?

  • @nickthaskater WRONG!!! The RS is a AWD Platform. The prototype AWD used a Haldex system which was borrowed from the Ford Kuga and had been modified for different Torque Splits using the Haldex controller.

As the MK2 Focus was built on a Volvo platform, adding AWD to a RS isn't a problem but as you mentioned, it adds weight and suffers transmission loss which is why Ford decided to stick with FWD

  • @SeEsAw121221 Ur right I fucking hate that. Its an ill car and i want one so bad but its not in the US! fuck!

  • @SeEsAw121221 agreed

  • @MadManDrivinHere dont know how much you know about Focus but it always was a FWD car and it always will no matter what a no-one like you says about AWD
