When I was 3 years old we lived at the north end of town in Belvidere IL when the 1967 Belvidere Tornado hit.

i live in dwight IL and i never have gotten that close to a tornado befor and it scared the crap outta me i had to get all my animals when i heard the sirens go off and went to the basement

I Def. remember this! I live in the Grundy county area, close to braidwood and watched it from my back yard, when it was just starting to build. I remember looking my husband in the eyes saying this is going to get nasty. Luckily no one got hurt, that I know off anyhow.

wow. i remember this. i live in Orland Hills,IL and me and my sister were so scared. We checked the weather channel and it said that the tornado was going to be in Tinley Park and i got so scared im so glad no one got hurt :D

i live in will county and we got the edge of the storm that made that tornado. we were having a party and we had a whole bunch of people were there. the sirens were going off and the sky got extremely dark. it was pretty scary.

i was in chicago when that strom came! im from south dakota but when we were heading home on our tour bus we saw funnel clouds all over from that storm.. same storm went tru my home town, too :O
