i live in dwight IL and i never have gotten that close to a tornado befor and it scared the crap outta me i had to get all my animals when i heard the sirens go off and went to the basement
I was in odell and the tornado was like 30 feet away from where i was and my family, of course were video taping it while we were all standing outside lol.
I Def. remember this! I live in the Grundy county area, close to braidwood and watched it from my back yard, when it was just starting to build. I remember looking my husband in the eyes saying this is going to get nasty. Luckily no one got hurt, that I know off anyhow.
wow. i remember this. i live in Orland Hills,IL and me and my sister were so scared. We checked the weather channel and it said that the tornado was going to be in Tinley Park and i got so scared im so glad no one got hurt :D
i live in plainfield IL i heard the sirens pretty loud and 1 sec later the funnel was not to far away from us hehe i remeber i was scared for my life and my boyfriend was laughing at me!!
i live in will county and we got the edge of the storm that made that tornado. we were having a party and we had a whole bunch of people were there. the sirens were going off and the sky got extremely dark. it was pretty scary.
Could you please tell me the location of the video when you are stationary and when you are driving. I am plotting a map of YouTube videos with markers at ArlingtoncardsDOTcomSLASHweatherblog
I'm from Chicago, now in CA where there are no "storms". I've always wanted to be a storm chaser - sorry I missed this one, but glad my family back home were able to get to a safe place.
i was in chicago when that strom came! im from south dakota but when we were heading home on our tour bus we saw funnel clouds all over from that storm.. same storm went tru my home town, too :O
awesome truly awesome!!!!! you should get 10 stars for this.sad to see all the damage in richton park and with no disrespect to anyone but would have been even sadder had it happened back in the early 90's back b/c rp and surrounding areas have changed and not for the better
Maybe we'll get more in the next system coming! I didnt see any of these, but im in Manhattan, btw we got no tornado here like some of the tv stations said. closest one to us was the Monee on in Center and 88th. I really want to see on in person! I hope we get one!
woah yeah I was watching this on the news and I just put on youtube what we saw from our house, but since it was far north of us we couldn't see it that much.
but wow great video, must of been really exciting.
hay i was at my cousins 8th grade graduation party swimmiung when the tornado sirens went off i stayed in the pool ahah!!
